Follow the Light is out now <3 Part-folk, part-reggae, part-dub… somehow in conversation with so many different worlds of music while sounding like nothing else I’ve heard before💚alyssa is a certified genius and this album is perfect from front to back 🪉🪉🪉🪉

this was my first time working on LP packaging alongside the great @_staticparty and so grateful for everything I learned and everything we made :) Alyssa has such a distinct creative vision, it was a joy to step into her world and get to build something alongside her🪶 I feel very lucky to have played a small part in bringing this incredible record to life!! thank you @junemcdoom for the trust and the friendship 🏰🐇🌳💕💗

New Secretly Frequencies playlist, featuring @maddyquach, our Fearless director of social media and creator marketing. When she’s not jetting off to Mitski residencies in New York or Japanese Breakfast shows at the Greek, she’s basking in brilliant pop soundscapes, tacos in hand, scouring the internet for the next music influencer extraordinaire. 🔎

Luckily we could catch her just in time to pull some tracks for us, link in bio!

𝐿𝒾𝓆𝓊𝑜𝓇𝒾𝒸𝑒 sounds like the sweet chaos of a fleeting crush … the shared glances across a room; the minutes counted while you wait to hear back; the immediate desperation for more; the first time you share a kiss; the nights you can’t get them off your mind; mistaking these feelings for love; the agony as it all comes to an end before it even gets started; the reflection on what could have been; the realization that you’d do anything for more.

This record presents the freest version of Hatchie yet, smear of red lipstick and all. it’s sticky sweet and unwound, candied with a soft confidence. following the release of 𝘎𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘺 , a studio record defined by punchy production and anchored in blunt shoegaze references, Hatchie found herself wanting to simplify her process and place a stronger focus on songwriting. She approached making this record from a completely different place ~~~ insular, reflective, and informed by life back home in Melbourne, away from buzzy Los Angeles and all the distractions that came with touring. She collaborated with Melina Duterte (of @jaysomband ) who sweetened the album with an effervescent tone you can almost taste. In it, we find a Hatchie that is honest, playful, unrestrained, freely laughing and exploring. A sonic canvas of femininity, self expression and all that already lies within you 💋💄🎼🪽💌
