@riichgood (The Pleased, The Psychedelic Furs) has been playing a Valhalla Amplification Jotunn 20 for a little while now and when we asked him to do this he was clear about not wanting to make a _normal_ demo video - we believe we’ve achieved his goal.

This installment of Three Sounds pushes the envelope a little bit. Rich is joined here by @yael_drumadkt (Desert Dome Studio) on drums and @chriselkjar (newspeech, The Armed) on synth / electronics.

These three got together at Desert Dome Studios in the California high desert to craft some soundscapes, enjoy a glass of wine and see where the music landed.

We asked @jonathanhischke to plug into the Odin and play anything he wanted. People warned us about giving him this type of freedom but we didn’t listen. Enjoy these Three Sounds with your favorite bass player’s favorite bass player.

Kicking off a new video series with none other than @christopherthorn! Welcome to “Three Sounds” where we ask our favorite guitar and bass players to kick out some sounds via Valhalla Amplification.

We stopped by the gorgeous @firesidesound in Joshua Tree, CA. Plugged in Christopher’s Jotunn 20 and hit record. Enjoy!

Continuing on That Thing In The Desert 2026 we spent our evenings at @dezdomestudio experimenting with varied instrumentation, a rotating cast of players and new sonic territories.

That Thing In The Desert 2026 was a legendary time! We’re so excited to be able to host this event alongside @itookthisphoto at @ranchodelalunastudio and have a few hundred of our closest friends roll through over the course of that week when everyone is in the LA area to get sick in a conference center.

More coverage to come from the evenings at @dezdomestudio. Thank you to everyone for attending and playing music and connecting with us and each other. Much love. ❤️

Alain Johannes, a guitar, a pedalboard and a prototype Valhalla 2x12 combo built in collaboration with @ranchodelalunastudio . We asked for five minutes. He gave us an hour. This is just a glimpse - 90 seconds of feel, fire, and fuzz, captured in the desert air at sunset. The Rancho De La Luna combo is coming soon.
What you're hearing is the first signal.

Filmed in the Desert bordering Pioneertown, CA.
