the #bekindkal ends on friday, which is also when i'll be releasing this new hat pattern. it rivals my #crush hat for my everyday headwear these days, which is saying a lot! friday is going to be busy on the paperwork front, because i'll be releasing the pattern, announcing kal winners, and also submitting an art award application. so much wool, so much paperwork, so little time... ⏳ --- swipe through to see who's providing the fabulous prizes for the kal! we've got @arohaknits, @wolfandfaunknits, @danagervais, and more! the fibre community is so wonderful 💕 --- you can find the sign-up link in my profile. i'll be sending out a belated 5th email to participants later today, but first i have more sewing to do! how is it already less than two weeks before yule/xmas? 🙈

In two days I run my first marathon. There are parts of me that think I’m crazy to have signed up, parts of me that are excited, and another part that can’t wait for this all to be over so my life can go back to whatever normal is for me 🤔. It has been one wild and unique journey training for this, but I know that 90% of the rest of it, this journey, is going to take place in my mind. I’ve wanted to do this for a while do that I can say, “I accomplished something hard!” Hopefully that’s what will take place on December 2nd. Until then, I welcome all prayers and positive thoughts. Keep my 16 yr old son in those thoughts and prayers too as he’s just as crazy as I am 😜. Thanks to all those that have supported me along the way and helped me get started on this path 3 years ago when I first started running. 😃💕🙏🏼😘👏🏼 . . . #marathontraining #run #countingdown #terrifying #exciting #icandoanything #morganfamilymotto #memphismarathon #stjudes

On the surface Aroha Knits is a knitwear design business. But what we really do is make transformations happen. --- Here I’m featuring just a sampling of those currently participating in my Initiate Knit Design Challenge. These participants are committed to not only transforming their yarn, but also transforming themselves. My primary purpose is to serve as a catalyst for change, for transformation, to show others that they do have what it takes to express themselves creatively through the magic of knitting, whatever form that may take. They just need a guiding hand and then they’re off! --- Aroha Knits is a community of magic-makers, who make transformations happen everyday. #transformyouryarn #spreadingaroha #brandstorychallenge #day4
