GetToKnowThem✨

My name’s Milo, and I’m a 21-year-old artist from the South Side of Chicago. I make music simply because it’s fun to me—it’s never felt like a job or something I have to force. It’s more like something I naturally drift back to whenever I need to express myself or clear my head.

Back in 2017, I really fell in love with the rising rap scene. I was heavily inspired by artists like Duwap Kaine, Lil Candypaint, and a lot of others who were coming up with a sound that felt raw, different, and unfiltered. That era made me feel like you didn’t need permission or a perfect setup to start creating—you just needed ideas and motion.

For a long time, I always thought about taking rap seriously, but I didn’t really have the confidence to fully commit to it. I’d record ideas here and there, overthink everything, then step away from it for years at a time. Eventually, I ended up putting music on pause for almost eight years, even though it was always something in the back of my mind that I couldn’t fully let go of.

At the start of this year, my brother and a few of my homies really pushed me to tap back in and take it more seriously instead of just thinking about it. They reminded me that I don’t need to overcomplicate it—I just need to create and stay consistent. That conversation kind of shifted everything for me.

Since getting back into it, my mindset has completely changed. I’m not trying to rush the process or force anything—I’m just focused on building, improving, and letting my sound develop naturally. I feel like I’m starting over in a good way, with more clarity and less doubt.

Now it’s only up from here.
