i would caption this post just as everyone else, but for me this summer was more than just what meets the eye. God sent me to LA for a reason. It gave me a community that I had been searching for, it allowed me to serve those in need, and it also allowed me to grow deeper in my faith. God preformed miracles in my life and so many others as well. However, when i went into this summer, i felt unworthy and unqualified for the callings God had placed on my life. i thought that i would never be able speak or serve others the way that others around me could, but God quickly reminded me that i am not called to be everyone else. God gave me a personalized calling that is for me to carry out. i don’t need to be anyone else, but the person God made me to be. I don’t need to find my worth in this world, for the world will surely perish. i don’t need to have everything all figured out to walk with God. God had been holding out His hand and all i had to do was reach for it. since right before i left for LA, God had been revealing to me that, “all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord, and who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). I never knew that one verse could stick with me, but it popped up everywhere for two months! God was reminding me daily that i didn’t need to have everything figured out or be perfect at what He was calling me too, i just needed to trust in Him and know that he will work all things together… in His perfect timing.

I could never perfectly put into words the way that this summer has changed my life. I have been given a renewed mind and a restored spirit, and i know that God is going to use this as i step into my next season of life!

i went into my first year of camp filled with so much doubt and fear about what God had in store for me, but over just 4 days i walked out with my entire life changed. i am so blessed to have the community that God surrounded me with to lean on and look up to. no amount of words can sum up the strengthened and renewed relationship that i have with God and the people around me. thank you so much @customstudents 🤍✝️
