Before they ever sit in these seats, I pray for them. 🤍

I pray for their stories, their questions, their friendships, their struggles, their faith…and for all the things God already knows that I don’t yet.

I know my job isn’t to change hearts. My job is to be faithful with the students God places in front of me, to love them well, point them to truth, and create a space where they can ask questions and discover Jesus for themselves.

And then I get the incredible privilege of watching God do what only He can do.

Year 5. New students. Same prayer. 🤍

PANAMA 2025 Blessed. I was blessed to be able to experience such a time in Panama. I learned that the Lord is still there even if you feel like you are in a dry season. And the Lord is still good. The Lord will always be your shepherd when you are a wandering sheep. I was taught to meditate on our songs and not just spit out the words. I learned to trust in the Lord and follow him when I felt his path wasn’t right for me. And I learned to walk to the light. It was pretty wild that we were reading through Psalms 23 because recently, I have loved to meditate and repeat to myself, “the lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” When I felt like anxiety overtook me, I meditated that over my life. I leaned into the words that the Lord had for me. I prayed for many people this week but learned that this is the Lord speaking through me. None of my words were my own but the Lord’s promises. It was pretty wild that even though we had no idea who some of these people were, the minute the Lord spoke through us to them was the minute there was an instant connection. I cannot believe that this trip has ended, but I know that the memories are not, and the blessings from the Lord are growing more and more as we speak. I am so blessed to have been on team three as well, and I could talk amazing things about each person, but it was a space where you could lay your heart out and feel vulnerable in front of your peers and feel no sense of judgment. The Lord was in our presence and was among us on this trip. Thank you, Panama and team three, for making this the most extraordinary and spirit-filled trip I could ask for! "We leave something of ourselves behind when we leave a place. We stay there, even though we go away, there are things in us that we can find again only by going back there."
