Senior Sunday: Celebrating Stella in her Maid of Honor era! 🤎 She took her role as Maid of Honor to her sister so seriously. She was so thoughtful and attentive to Madison all day long. They had their last sleepover together the night before the wedding, and Stella barely slept because she felt like she needed to be Madison’s bodyguard all night. She even set an alarm on her phone for every hour of the wedding day to remind herself to check on Madison and ask if she needed anything. If Madison mentioned something she wanted or needed, Stella immediately made a note of it in her phone so she wouldn’t forget. I’m so proud of the way Stella loved, served, and honored her sister on one of the most important days of her life. #seniorsunday #classof2027 #MOH #sisters

Our little girl is married. Phil & I reminisced about the terrified new parents we were, sitting in the hospital with a newborn baby girl we couldn’t figure out how to get to stop crying, so we were all crying. We were not qualified. We were terrified. We didn’t understand how the hospital staff thought it was okay to let us leave with this brand-new baby. And today, sitting all alone in our home, we cried because somehow, we made it. I am simply overwhelmed by the goodness of God. I could share for days all the tiny details and little moments that are simply miraculous and seemingly ordinary, and 10.15.26 felt like the culmination of it all! The amount of gratitude I have for our kids, our friends, our family, and the team of people who showed up, made sacrifices, served, gave, and worked to make the most perfect day happen is simply overwhelming. I don’t have adequate words for my gratitude. It’s humbling and overwhelming. Other than the insane wind, Madison & Tyler’s wedding was perfect. Every detail of what they had dreamed about was brought to life! We prayed for no rain, and while we heard it rained all around us, it didn’t rain on us! It was the honor of a lifetime to not only walk my firstborn daughter down the aisle to her husband but also officiate their wedding. I am beyond grateful that they wanted me to participate in that way. What an incredible two days all the way around from rehearsal to the send-off. There is no way this would have happened without all those that were involved. I’m excited for the life Tyler and Madison have ahead of them and how Jesus is going to use them to change the world around them. To say I’m proud is an understatement.
