I really did have everything with you.

The fear of mix-belting Gs and bunny suits. An obstacle course of desks in heels. Walking onto the stage and pretending like you own it. And never apologizing for taking up space.

You challenged me.

But you also gave me the gasp of the audience during The Plastics reveal. Controlling the room with a slight lift of a finger. The chance to tell my best friend every night that she should never forget the power she has. And some of the coolest people you’ll ever meet by my side.

Confidence doesn’t mean you aren’t scared. It doesn’t mean you’re never hurt. It doesn’t mean you have all the answers. Sometimes it means you just walk onstage anyway.

Oh Regina, we all know what they’d call you if you were a boy.
