Next up is coach @madisonshaddick fresh off her back to back Ironman Wales victory 🥇

Maddy has taken part in basically every sport under the sun before settling on triathlon. When you’re not finding Maddy doing swim, bike or run you can find her upside down in some crazy yoga move or throwing heavy weights around in the gym 🧘🏻‍♀️

Maddy is available for 1-2-1 coaching online and also responsible for some of the spiciest Wattbike sessions Cardiff has to offer, found at @heathwoodswimming 🚴‍♀️ 🥵

If you fancy having the 2x IMW winner as your coach then give us a message! 🤩

“Nat what can I say, you absolutely smashed it again. Amazing location, food & company - you thought of everything!

Feeling totally relaxed going home, just what I needed. I wouldn’t change a thing - loved it all. Love love love. Thank you 😌”

Same again next year?
But this time we’re heading to the west coast of Portugal. 🤩

When the world feels noisy and your brain feels overloaded - there’s nothing quite like getting out there, in the fresh air, leaving the notifications behind 👣🌿✨

Most of our day and weekend escapes have very limited signal. And this is part of the experience. Nobody needs you right now. You’re here for you. The plates stop spinning. The list stops growing. The mind slows down.

If your screen time is creeping up to something you’d be embarrassed to admit (👀) then a wilderness escape could be calling…

Life feels calmer and more full when the signal gets weaker, it’s like some sort of retreat science equation 😅🔋

We hope to see you out there in 2027 🤎

2026 Race Season Roundup
.
I'm going to do a series of posts celebrating some of the most memorable events from this years racing and where better to start than with the queen of Tenby @madisonshaddick!
.
Mads & I have been working together since the start of 2023, and it all started with a chat around could she win Ironman Wales. Something it took 2 years to nail.
.
It's always edgy going back to a race you've smashed as the odds of repeating something equal to Mad's 2025 overall AG win aren't always in your favour.
.
Determined, focussed and eternally enthusiastic, this Princess (for those who don't know, thats Mad's real first name) toed the start line. Conditions didn't look fast, but based on how she had been training this year, I'd modelled a 10hr 12minute finish time. Something that would represent a huge PB, an AG course record and a time that would upset many of the female pro field racing on the day.
.
6 minutes behind the fastest age grouper in the swim, and on to the wet bike course Mads quickly moved into the lead. By mile 70, she had a convincing 25 minute cushion on the age group field and was 5th woman on the road (including pros), this looked like it was going to turn into another magic day.
.
Off the bike and on to the run, 7th on course ready to chasing down the pros... Pink shoes, pink kit, pink visor, you couldn't miss her running through the grey rainy streets of Tenby. Morale seemed ok, fatigue was there but she was running well. By lap 3 she had closed down the 6th female pro and was still holding a commanding lead on the age group field.
.
Mads spirit and determination to push through when things get hard is one of her defining character. As many who've experienced it will know, the path to success is not a straight forward one and often its about who can survive the most, and last the longest... Mads is a walking talking testament to keeping going when stuff doesnt go your way.
.
I ran to the finish line just in time to see her approach the red carpet. She didn't ring the PB bell, then i realised, she didn't know what she'd just done.
.
10 Hours, 22 Minutes
Overall Age Group Champ
6th Woman (inc Pros)
Mads.... you legend! x
