Whose moves were the winning ones? 🤪

Four days on and around the Aussie sunny coast with the gang.

Comment: FLOW to reduce a free easy flow practice to start with.

• I spent years training to be strong. Yoga taught me what that strength is actually for.

This is the start of something new here. More strength, more mobility, more science, and the philosophy that gives it all meaning. A sports scientist on the mat, a yogini at the gym.
If you want to move strong and feel free, stay close.

6 BENEFITS:

Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a heart to pump it. It only moves when you do. This 30-second sequence, hip circles, spinal waves, chest and shoulder rolls, arm circles, neck twists, is built to drain it.

Here’s what’s actually happening:

1. Lymph starts moving. Unlike blood, lymph relies entirely on muscle contraction and joint movement to circulate. Rotational movement through the hips and spine is one of the most effective ways to push it along.

2. Spinal waves pump the discs. Segmental spinal movement increases nutrient exchange into the intervertebral discs, which have almost no direct blood supply of their own.

3. Shoulder and chest rolls open the subclavian return. This is where your entire lymphatic system drains back into the bloodstream, right under your collarbones.

4. Neck twists clear the cervical nodes. Some of your densest lymph node clusters sit along the sides of your neck.

🔥5 moves. Zero equipment. Just your bodyweight and some floor space. 🔥

Why this actually builds strength (not just burns calories):
· every move here is closed-chain, your hands stay planted while your body moves around them. That forces your shoulders, core, and stabilizing muscles to work in every direction at once, not just push through one fixed path like a machine would.

That’s functional strength; the kind that carries over to real movement, not just a number on a machine.

Run through all 5, rest 60 seconds, repeat for 3 rounds.

4 movements to stop carrying what was never yours.

The Drop opens the side body, literally making room in your ribs so you’re not bending yourself into shapes to keep someone comfortable.

Stop Carrying Their Shit is exactly what it sounds like, reaching back and letting go of the baggage that was never actually yours to hold.

Open Anyway lifts the chest wide, because getting hurt doesn’t mean staying closed.

And The Full Release is the deepest one, the one where you stop lowering your standards just to make yourself easier to keep around.

Your body remembers what you tolerated. This is how you tell it you’re done.

Which one hit the hardest? 👇🏽

Instructions:

• Neck tilts, draining the nodes along the sides of your neck.

• Bound forward fold, feet interlocked behind you, folding down to get circulation moving through the whole torso.

• Trap release, working the thick muscle and tendons connecting neck to shoulder, right where lymph loves to pool.

• Skull base massage, thumbs pressed into the crease where neck meets skull, draining the nodes hiding there.

× 10 slow breaths in each position. Five minutes before coffee, and you’ll feel like a completely different person by the time you’re done.

Can you hear the flute 🪈 in the background?
🛕
This is a video from an archive, early 2024 where I stayed in the wonderful Ayurvedic @barberyn_resorts in Sri Lanka. Each night after sunset, a man was playing on his flute outside our temple at the centre of the resort, surrounded by wild medicinal plants.

And so, every night, I danced with the sound of the waves in the background and his flute, together with the birds.
Slowly healing and growing into my feminine part of myself that I didn't invest enough in the past, that I had for a long time been disconnected from, here, finally & truly listening to my body.
✨️

• I leave you with this mantra as I, at the same time, remind myself and practise not being so hard on myself all the time. 🕉

Presentation🙌🏽
