13 months ago I made a life changing decision. I decided to work my business goals backwards - to reverse engineer where I wanted my agency to be in 10 years. I realized at least 25% of those years would be spent trying to figure out how to serve my existing clients even better, developing processes, and constructing a more tactical team. I didn’t want to waste 2.5 years when other’s have got those things on lock now. So I hired a business coach, joined a program for marketing agency owners, and fully surrendered to the process. I brought my skillset, abandoned my pre-conceived notions, and committed to applying it all to fast track my agency to my 10 year goal. We’re still on the road, but by all accounts, 13 months after starting the program, I’m where I would be year 5 on my own. Along the way I’ve developed deep friendships with a tribe of people who were willing to do the same. Some are ahead of me by a long way, some are just starting out, but we all have the same goals and being in the trenches with guys who are slogging through the same mud I am has been the best surprise in this process. I just got back from a 4-day mastermind intensive with this crew. 4 days of hunkering down - getting brutally honest with ourselves, sharing victories, tactics, literally crying as we do inner work to overcome mindset hurdles - this is the REAL DEAL. We laughed, ate, shot content for each other, and dreamed on our businesses and each other’s. Knowing I have guys around the country committed to my success, and being invested in their’s - there’s nothing like it. It’s my second mastermind intensive and as long as I’m able, I’ll never miss one. If your business isn’t where you want it to be, YouTube university or some instagram motivational speaker isn’t going to get it there. It takes practical action. Find a coach and program in your space and surrender to the process. If you’re in the creative/content/marketing space, reach out to me. I’ve got yours already! You pay for progress in time or money.
