hot girls get cancer too. ch 5 - hang out with people who get it. I wish for nothing more than people not to be able to relate to me. but unfortunately so many people do. fortunately, there’s also a sense of community in that. having someone who understands, without having to explain, makes the journey feel a little less isolating. people who’ve sat in the chemo chair, waited for scan results, lost their hair, felt scared, angry, exhausted, hopeful. there’s comfort in being seen by someone who truly gets it. ⁣

if you’re in Canada/Vancouver, here are some resources if you or someone you know is navigating a cancer journey and needs support. all I have is dark wit & delusion but it works sometimes too. ⁣
⁣
- Canadian Cancer Society 1-888-939-3333 peer support, rides to treatment, information specialists, community resources⁣.⁣
- Young Adult Cancer Canada 1-877-571-7325 young adult cancer community, retreats, online support, people who get it⁣.⁣
- BC Cancer Vancouver 1-800-663-3333 treatment support, counselling, nutrition, support programs⁣
- CBT Therapy is where my therapist works. if you DM me I’ll give you her name. ⁣
