Chris RWK is one of those rare artists whose work feels instantly familiar yet deeply personal. Emerging from New York’s graffiti and street art scene, his journey has always been rooted in honesty, persistence, and heart. From painting on the streets to creating canvases now collected worldwide, his path reflects a lifelong commitment to making art that connects, not by shouting, but by speaking softly and truthfully.
His iconic robot character says everything without saying a word. Vulnerable, thoughtful, sometimes alone, yet never empty.
It feels like a reflection of the human condition: resilience, introspection, hope, and quiet strength wrapped in the simplest of forms. There’s a tenderness in these figures that invites you to pause, reflect, and feel.
That evolution was powerfully showcased in Promise Made. Promise Kept (2023), his first solo exhibition with @harmanprojects in New York. He returned again with You Won’t Always Feel This Way (2025), weaving new works with archival pieces, tracing the journey of both the artist and his beloved characters.
Chris RWK reminds us that impact doesn’t need to be loud, and strength doesn’t need to be aggressive. Just sincerity, consistency, and soul.
This month, Chris returned to Europe, championing his skills in two back-to-back exhibitions at @suye.co in Amsterdam and @casatiartecontemporanea in Milan. While in Amsterdam, we were blessed to spend time with him and watch him paint. What truly struck us was his humility, despite all he has achieved, and his ability to stay true to himself while giving that truth back to the world.

Finally, also posting some images from My Tongue In My Friend’s Mouth, exhibition and public commission at @formaartsmedia new space 15 Bermondsey Square in London, together with @gaia.dilorenzo 🤍 supported by @aceagrams and @iiclondra

Two of the new works I presented are miniatures I made with Tommaso Arnaldi @theunfairplay as sets for our latest film, Unpredictable Homes, on view at @labiennale . We have been exploring informal architectural modifications that emerge within industrial and institutional environments. Though they sometimes tend to adapt spaces to middle-class domestic standards or reproduce familiar spatial configurations, their spontaneous and diy nature often signals the possibility of autonomy within regulated systems, countering their original functions—to control, regulate, produce, or consume.

Thank you so much @pro_numb @antoniashaw__ and the whole team at Forma. You are some of the smartest, most dedicated and caring people I have met since I started doing this. You made us feel at home since day 1.

The film focuses on the consequences of exclusionary urban policies on the city of Rome, using AI to explore modes of representing housing occupations’ exclusion from institutional and legal frameworks.
Developed in conversation with Sara Moutawakil @saramouta_ —17-year-old aspiring architect and resident of Spin Time—it investigates the intertwining between small-scale, ephemeral modifications carried out by communities of residents, and structural interventions that remain largely inaccessible without major capital investments.
