She brings the energy, the ideas, the laughs, the occasional song and a whole lot of personality to our Digital Tulip family, and we are lucky to have her!

Happy Birthday, Shelley! We love and appreciate you, and we hope your day is every bit as fabulous as you are.

Returning home from a few days in Austin for ADMERICA, which always feels a little like a family reunion for the advertising industry. 🤠

Fun fact: my first ADMERICA was also in Austin back in 2012, so returning all these years later felt like a bit of a full-circle moment. Swipe to the last photo for a throwback from that first conference that started it all. 📸

Highlights from this year’s conference:

🏅 Celebrating @davidrcampbell’s Barton A. Cummings Gold Medal

🎓 Celebrating my AAF colleague turned friend, @jlbuschhorn, receiving the Distinguished Advertising Educator Award

🎉 Celebrating @rectorclark and his remarkable 38-year career with the AAF

💛 Watching @lmcooljay conduct her final meeting as the Chair of the Council of Governors

🏈 Cheering on Liberty University from @aafdistrict3 as National Student Advertising Competition runner-up for their NFL campaign

🤖 Conversations about AI and the future of our industry

🤝 Reconnecting with friends and colleagues from across the country

🍪 Personally delivering my final boxes of Thin Mints to @stevepacheco3 and the AAF staff (Girl Scouts always deliver!)

One thing that stood out to me this year was the growth in student participation, from increased attendance to incredible work in both the National Student Advertising Competition and the American Advertising Awards.

Their eagerness, passion and creativity renew my energy every year and remind me why I chose this industry in the first place. The future is bright.

On a personal note, it was also exciting to see another successful launch of the 2026 American Advertising Awards winners showcase on the website I maintain for the national awards program. The American Advertising Awards are always one of my favorite parts of ADMERICA because the work consistently inspires me to think bigger and continue pushing creatively in my own work. 🏆

And finally, congratulations to the AAF staff, especially @reevessoccermom and @adehart26, for another incredible conference. Pulling off an event of this scale is no small feat, and your hard work and dedication were evident throughout the week.

Already looking forward to next year in Anaheim, CA! 🌴

Just some tulips on the town wining and dining while @mageeblues is in town! 🌷 Our team works remotely, so when we get the opportunity to spend time together IRL, we capitalize on it! #teamtulip
