Main Theme; FASHION FOR IMPACT
Smile Int'l Collection; " VISIT UGANDA "
Fashion House; SMILE INTERNATIONAL.

UGANDA INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK SHOW BREAKDOWN.
1. All garments were referenced from Western Uganda culture in tribute to the Omukama Oyo of Tooro. The garments also included reflective material to avoid taking pictures and allow the audience to enjoy the moment.

2. The soundtrack used for the runway was curated by the Greeverz Djz.
- The sound track started with a speech from Virgil Abloh saying " life is to short to spend even a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do vs knowing what you actually can do." A wake up call to all creatives always wake up to be better than the yesterday version of you.
- The soundtrack later transitioned to the Tooro Anthem, a tribute to the Tooro Kingdom of Western Uganda.
- the soundtrack later ended with a vibrant yet chill amapiano instrumental of Asibe Happy backed by vocals from Juliana's Enkwanzi, a reference to the western uganda culture.

3. Pantone and Material.
The collection was generally made from up-cycled denim and entailed pantones Brown and Blue generally.

Special thanks to God, Mum, Team Arapapa, All the models ( Magezi, Felina, Sharon, Mary, Atim and Maurice ), Miss. Andiswa and Miss. Cindy, Madam Enca, Miss. Vanessa, Miss. Munir, the GROW Initiative, World Bank, Bayimba Foundation and Uganda Media. Thanks for making such a show a success. Till next time, cheers.

Was honoured to have featured on the first ever Uganda international fashion week, the main theme was "FASHION FOR IMPACT" and Smile International presented their much anticipated "VISIT UGANDA " Collection SSC 26/27.

A collection dedicated to re-cycling, up-cycling and re-purposing of fashion wastes to promote SUSTAINABILITY hence leave the world a better place. The collection featured 6 garments made from denim, up-cycled suits and of course Smile International's neon green niche.

The models walked to a soundtrack curated by the greeverz djz ( a musical duo) that started with a speech from the late Virgil Abloh, followed by the Tooro Anthem as a tribute to the Omukama Oyo IV and lastly an amapiano instrumental backed by vocals from Juliana's " Enkwanzi " also referenced from Western Uganda.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank God, a supportive Family, the Arapapa UIFW team ( Miss. Rebecca, Mrs. Enca, Facilitator Vanessa, Facilitator Munir, Sign language Translator, Photo4fashion, mona faces, afros n mo),
Madam Cindy , Madam Andiswa, Models Magezi, Sharon, Marion, Son of mr.money, Napio felina . Uganda media and everyone we worked with to make sure this was a success, we were really honoured to work with you, till next time Godspeed.
