Clarke Central High School students participate in the 2024 Fall Sports Pep Rally in the Competition Gym on Oct. 23. Historically, CCHS pep rallies have recognized student athletes, and CCHS will be hosting one for the first time in two years on Sep. 18. “Everyone knows we’re coming up to the Classic City Championship with the Gladiators against the Jaguars, and so that’s a huge time for our community. It’s great that we can come together as a school community to rally around our sports,” Clarke Central High School Associate Principal Tamika Henson said. “This makes it a great time. It’s the beginning of the school year, so it’s a privilege to have a pep rally. Hopefully we can set that precedent for future ones, as well.” Story by Grady Dunston, photos by Aza Khan, Izzy Duncan and Wyatt Meyer

The ODYSSEY Media Group seniors pose with adviser David Ragsdale at the ODYSSEY Media Group and iliad Literary-Art Magazine Annual Banquet on May 19 at 1055 Barber. During the banquet, each senior shared a speech, which according to OMG Business Manager Audrey St. Onge was a perfect way to wrap up the year. “I was crying the whole time, it’s a really sweet tradition,” St. Onge said. “It allows (seniors) to say their piece if they have any remaining things (to say or) if they want to leave anything behind for the future.” Photos by Grady Dunston, Violet Cantarella and Jazlyn Gonzalez-Albarran, story by Liya Taylor
