Evidence of how kind the Lord has been to me 🌷🤍🦋

“Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken. My salvation and glory depend on God, my strong rock. My refuge is in God. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before him. God is our refuge. Selah”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭62‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭

It’s not everyday you get to create something for your brother’s wedding. Mrs. Mandy messaged me a while back and said if there was anything she learned from her first daughter’s wedding, everyone needed a snot rag. So why not make the snot rags pretty! I got to spend some time going through some design ideas, keeping in mind the wedding theme and Maggie’s personality.

We ended up with each hankerchief having a flower and a date in it. Each flower was a part of Maggie’s bouquet from the wedding day, a reminder of each persons role in her life, and the date, thee one that started this new chapter in her and Jackson’s life. We made Maggie’s special, of course. We still included the date to remember the day, but I also tried to capture her whole bouquet the best I could with needle and thread. There’s something sweet about being able to make something like flowers last forever with just needle and thread.

What an honor to be a part of their day in this unique way and use the gift the Lord’s given me to care for those that they love. The Lord’s faithfulness, love, and joy, truly was in every single detail of this day, even in the snot rags!
