Plant Magic Cafe is opening our BnBs and we’re hiring a live-in house steward + barista.

Starting immediately 🕺🏻.

The gig: Turn over our guest rooms between checkout (10am) and check-in (4pm). Usually about two hours a day. Handy with tools? Big plus.

The pay:
A room in our historic home at 925 E 17th Ave
$20+/hr for extra work beyond turnovers
Staff perks for Plant Magic events and ceremonies

Want more hours? Pick up barista shifts at $18+/hr plus tips. Our cafe hours stretch to 8am to 8pm soon, so there’s room to grow.

One person in both roles is our dream scenario. Splitting them many work too.

We’re starting something new, Denver!

Corey Jay, singer, songwriter, and medicine music carrier who has spent 8 years sharing his artistry with communities across the Americas, will be leading us in a song circle twice a month. We’re also joined by Ryan Winsor, ceremony musician, and Meaghan Len, founder of Plant Magic!

We’d love for you to be at the first one.

Singing together can liberate us. It brings us back to play, to our voice and bodies, and to the earth and elements where many of these songs are birthed.

Each song we learn can become a part of your own spiritual practice, yours to bring into ceremony and anywhere life takes you.

We’ll learn a few medicine songs and rainbow songs together (with easy chords if you play). We will also play with some group improv, a really fun and sweet way to connect with each other.

Sing, play, or just listen.

Bring a guitar, ukulele, drum, whatever you’ve got. We’ll send the songs ahead of time, and you’ll take the song sheets home.

We’re hiring a part-time Events & Marketing Coordinator to join our Denver team and help bring our programs, gatherings, facilitators, and community events to life.

This is a 70% events / 30% marketing role - perfect for someone who knows how to make things happen and loves the world of Psyched**, creativity, and community.

✨ We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience producing events, ceremonies, or community gatherings
• Has prior experience with (and knowledge about) intentional psyched**s
• Technically savvy w. intermediate social media and AI skills
• Is a creative, facilitator, artist, or community-builder with strong event instincts
• Has ideas for programs, gatherings, workshops, or experiences they’d love to bring to the Plant Magic community
• Is excited to discover and develop new facilitators and programming
• Knows how to coordinate people, volunteers, logistics, and all the details that make an event work
• Has strong marketing instincts and enjoys creating content and helping events reach the right people
• Wants to be a thought partner — not just a task executor

Starting at 15–20 hours/week · $22–25/hour · In-person in Denver. Room to grow into salary position.

There’s also an optional opportunity to pick up Cafe barista shifts if you want more hours and an even deeper connection to our community.

And this role has room to grow. As Plant Magic expands, we’re looking for people who want to grow with us - potentially into larger leadership roles as we bring this model to other communities.

Thank you for bringing such lovely, elevated energy to our kirtan on Sunday! Being together in that space, in song and with the Plants, is always a gift.

To those who experienced Hapé for the first time, you did so well! We’re inspired by your courage to explore new worlds that are unfamiliar to you.

To those who held space, thank you for offering your presence and calm energy as it makes a great difference.

And to our friends and fam we see often, it is always a pleasure to have you return to Plant Magic! The spirit of friendship was alive on Sunday.

And thank you to those who contributed to the potluck, whether through the food you brought or simply by enjoying what others shared.

This is a difficult time for asks given the current financial state many people in our community are facing.

So, thank you for your generosity.

We’re feeling immense gratitude over here as your funds will support Veronica heal and grow on her own time.

We typically use this bi-annual fundraiser time to sustain our own nonprofit, but this year it was clear there’s no better way to do that than by helping our dear friend who has always been there to support us along this journey.

Someone fought for your right to heal in Colorado. And now she needs our help urgently.

Her name is Veronica Lightening Horse.

She helped write Prop 122. She gathered signatures in the cold. She traveled the state, faced harassment, and never stopped until the measure passed.

Beyond her activism, Veronica is the founder of a fellow church here in Denver and a spiritual doula who has walked hundreds of people through trauma, grief, and the fear that can keep us stuck.

She has given everything to this work and to this community.

Recently, her own life was turned upside down.

A few months ago, everything changed.

Details aside, she found herself unpartnered, a newly single mother raising 5 children alone (including a newborn grandbaby) all in her care and being supported by modest church community donations.

Soon after, she was in an accident that left her injured and subsequently became seriously ill losing body weight she couldn’t afford to lose (dropping to just 102 lbs).

She didn’t ask for our help. But Veronica has done so much for Plant Magic we couldn’t not take action for our dear friend and mentor.

We have launched a Solstice fundraiser for Veronica. The goal is $20,000. If 400 of us give just $50, we get there.

Your donation goes towards:

〰️Housing stability while she rebuilds
〰️Medical care she has been deferring
〰️Food and basic family needs for five kids and a newborn
〰️Time and space to do her own deep integration work — properly, not squeezed between everything else

Here is what we are asking:

Thank you to all of our participants, some of whom had their first experiences with Hapé and Sananga, for supporting the Kuntanawa and their mission to reforest the Amazon.

This is a call to those who feel in their hearts the urgency of the times we are living in as humanity.

We are facing a moment of great challenges. Nature is calling for support. Traditional peoples are asking to be heard. Future generations depend on the choices we make today. In the face of this global emergency, we believe it is time to unite our strengths, knowledge, cultures, and wisdom to create pathways of healing, transformation, and collaboration.

During this gathering, we shared our journey from the Amazon, the projects we are developing to protect the rainforest, strengthen the communities who safeguard it, and awaken a deeper awareness of our collective responsibility at this critical moment in history.

We also offered the opportunity to learn about and respectfully receive sacred forest medicines such as ancestral tools for connection, clarity, grounding, and spiritual alignment. These help us remember who we are, reconnect with our roots, our ancestors, and the wisdom that lives within us.

We believe that when we reconnect with ourselves, we become more capable of caring for one another and for all life. The transformation of the world begins within each human being.

Thank you for coming with an open heart, a receptive mind, and a spirit willing to learn, share, and collaborate. You’re now a part of a growing community of people who believe that a more conscious, united, and harmonious future is possible.

Together we can build bridges between peoples, cultures, and traditions. Together we can strengthen life. Together we can remember that we are all part of one human family.
