Today is my best friends birthday. Craig wasn’t just my best friend, he was my family, my brother. It didn’t matter what we were doing, just hanging out was all we needed. We could hang out for hours, talking about everything, talking about nothing, and still having a memorable time; of course we’d squeeze in a lunch, dinner, or both😊 #donohooschicken. You left us a little over three years ago, and it’s been rough, I’d give anything just to hang out one more time🥺. For your birthday, I made this American Girlfriend plaque, Happy Birthday Craig, I miss you brother. #bestbuds

A year ago today my best friend Craig passed away. We’ve been friends since high school, he was my brother, not by blood, but my brother just the same. A day doesn’t go by where I don’t think about him. It’s the little things like a song on the radio, a stupid movie quote from Blazing Saddles, a question about how to cook something, or simply going out for sushi. Some of these things bring a smile to my face while others cause my eyes to tear up. I miss hanging out & doing nothing, I miss our chats, I miss your smile, your laugh and doing our stupid handshake from high school. They say time softens the heartache, I guess the length of time is different for everyone because my heart still hurts as much as it did a year ago. I love you & miss you brother……

I had a little fun with this colorization app. I’ve posted this photo of my parents and Aunt and Uncle before. It’s one of my faves. So now I’m combing through old family photos to see them in a new perspective. #kindalikeLIFEincolor #ilovetechnology #ohana #photorestoration #gonnaturnmybrowneyesblue #colorize #ciudadjuarez

The last trip with our Pops to visit our family in El Paso, circa ‘88. Every winter visit we spent there it snowed. My brother and I broke new records that visit. I didn’t think it was humanly possible to gain 11lbs in 10days.. wait, Hold my chile relleno🌶. #missyoupops #christmas88 #familytime #elpasotx #familia #ohana

Happy 82nd Birthday to our Sensei, Shihan Fumio Demura. The real Miyagi. Mr. Miyagi’s character was based off of Demura Sensei and he was Pat Morita’s stunt double. Good times and great memories growing up and training in his dojo. Photo 1 circa 1976, photo 2 circa 1983. #fumiodemura #happybirthday #therealmiyagi #shitoryu #shitoryukarate #jkf #japankaratefederation
