The world is a rollercoaster of emotion and this year has proved that. Me personally, I was thrown in places I didn’t want to be and provided things I didn’t want. My brain was challenged in ways I wouldn’t dare do again, but probably most prominently, my heart was broken in ways I didn’t think were possible and by people I didn’t think would break it. In general. I’d say 2024 was pretty bad for that. But despite that, i can confidently say that I loved this year. Because through all that, through all the pain and all the struggle, I’ve grown. I grew, I learned, I healed and with the help of some of the best people in the world, I became a better person. So I guess the main takeaway from this is just to keep going. It’s gonna hurt, it’s gonna feel like crap but it develops you as a person and makes you stronger at the end of the day.

Hello! My name is Mahba Ahmad and I am a rising senior at a school in Southern California. I enjoy reading, playing guitar & piano, spending time with my family & friends, playing video games, and skateboarding in my free time! Although I don’t know what I want to do with my life, I know that public health is an intriguing area in the medical field. I’m so excited to learn more and I hope we can all become good friends :)
