Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday ✨
As a UCF alum, many of my college highlights and some of my closest friends from college were all thanks to being part of a the Association of Pre-Physician Assistants (APPA) at UCF. During my sophomore year, I joined this invaluable group as an extracurricular opportunity but truly gained more than I could’ve ever imagined. Fundraising for incredible causes, volunteering for the most deserving organizations, socials to meet fellow pre-PAs, suture/casting workshops and opportunities to hear from practicing PA-Cs every single meeting - unreal, right!? After two years as a member, I pursued the opportunity to be part of the executive board as the Event Coordinator my senior year and enjoyed every second of it.
.
.
Fast forward five years and I’ve had the truly rewarding experiences to return as a PA-C to the group that gave me so much to interact with and share my journey with current APPA members. This group is truly so special and it couldn’t be more exciting to see the same passion and dedication to the PA profession that I had. Take my word for it y’all, they’re going places!!!
.
.
To other Pre-PAs, if you’re not part of a similar group at your university, definitely look into it and get involved! If your university doesn’t have a group like it, I urge you to consider starting one! Would definitely be a huge win on your application AND provide you incredible experiences with lifelong friends.
As always if you have any questions, need advice or just need some motivation, don’t hesitate to reach out!!! x

Thanks to our @division10c LTG Juan Suarez for hosting his first #DCM of the year! It was very informative and a lot of fun to learn to make T-shirt Totebags for donations. Thank you to Valencia College (Lake Nona) for letting us use their campus.
