Those that know my “My Fair Maidens” ❤️Kamilah, Rashana, Dominique ❤️are aware of how we take celebrating seriously over the years…many of you have been right there sipping Hunch Punch right with us. Birthdays, college announcements, game nights, Easter Egg Hunts with 6ft tall Bunny Rabbit, the infamous Lip Sync Contest, Family Breakfast or just plain old Pizza Night… I have had my hand in every single detail. Our wedding was the absolute first time that my girls took control and showed out. They created an absolutely beautiful setting, filled with warmth, love, laughter, great food, specialty drinks that made me deeply emotional and proud. It was a memorable family affair. Thank you My Fair Maidens for my flowers…the smoothness of this song Kamilah created and adding to the “Push” of my Fourth Act. I LOVE YOU❤️ #BaileyWedding2026 #thatshowyougiveaparty @maiden_yarn @djbsobrown @shanabm215

**VULNERABLE POST**

I don’t want to say life has been hard because I know there are so many people who have it so much more difficult than I. But I’ll say it’s been quite the struggle, for many years but not without happiness. I do love my life tremendously and I’m grateful for everything and everyone I have in it.

I have been struggling tremendously in this past year even more so over my health, as I have been over the past 10 years but it seems to have gotten worse. I am having trouble recognizing myself on a regular basis, which is playing a lot into my mental health and how I view myself. I am constantly working on myself, keeping up with appointments, procedures, medication changes and always advocating.

I feel like I’m missing a lot. A lot of seeing the world I want to see and photograph. There’s barely any pictures I took this year. I miss seeing family on a regular basis. I miss taking part in regular events. But most of all I miss feeling a semblance of a regular routine, life and wellness. Even if it were pain, I’d feel more comfort in the pain that I used to just feel. But the life I’ve been living recently has been chaotic and messy. I’m sick, pretty much all of the time and I mean nauseous and vomiting, to say the least.

Losing so much weight in so little time, I have people congratulating me and telling me how incredible I look. Which I know is a human, normal thing but it feels off and wrong to me. Did I want to lose weight? Absolutely but not this way. I wanted to do it like everyone else. I am torn between wanting to be proud of how I look because yes I did lose weight but I am so incredibly sick. And yet I have people tell me I don’t “look sick.”

Illnesses aren’t always visible and I know people are being human and genuine when they say what they say and that is why I have such a difficult time. I do work on all of this with my therapist but I think it’s important to share. “My body is my home” and it’s on fire… I love it and I’m trying to save the precious pictures inside. Can you imagine? I live in this one body, it’s the only one I’ll ever get and I’m fighting so hard to keep it working right. It’s been fighting me for so long.
