Thinking of all those navigating pregnancy and infant loss today - those who never got to bring their babies earthside, whose babies were born sleeping, and those who said goodbye far too soon.

Our babies leave literal imprints in us that time cannot erase. They become part of our bodies and our being. I love the thought that we may carry pieces of our babies with us long after they are gone.

Today, I’m remembering my three babies who never made it earthside, and honouring Zeynah’s life, today and always as she'll forever be my baby.

Four babies, each a part of me.

However your story of loss looks, your baby matters and Your grief matters. You'll always have a space to share with me.

We are mothers forever, carrying our babies in ways the world may not always see, but that we will always know. 💜

I'm not an influencer, but if I was.. I'd influence you to follow some of these wonderful folks who are working hard to make motherhood and childhood better for all of us.

My fav quote is Arundhati Roy,

"Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing."

When I see them in my feed it makes me feel like the world is moving in the right direction, hugely fuelled by the grit and determination these folks have to improve it.

Beth Bellingham, founder of The Matrescence Project, shares her experience of those early months of motherhood: the feeling of being lost, the quiet question of when life would feel normal again, and the discovery of a word that changed how she understood it all.

Matrescence gave Beth a framework for understanding what she was experiencing. Not a breakdown, but a profound developmental transition that deserves to be recognised and talked about.

Her story is a reminder of why language matters. When we can name an experience, we can begin to understand it - and realise we aren’t the only ones going through it.

Baby Loss Awareness Week is approaching and in true Ebony Bonds style, we are Walking & Talking!

We’ll be taking a slow stroll around Hyde Park in honour of all of our beautiful babies so if you want to walk, talk, share or simply find a tribe of people that understand the realities of the baby loss journey, come along.

A beautiful evening bringing bereaved parents and families together around the table to eat, connect, remember and honour the babies who will always be part of our stories.

There was something so special about sharing food and space with people who understand the complexities of grief the laughter, the conversations, the memories, the love and the moments of quiet understanding that don’t need explaining. 🫂

And the Caribbean food?! 😮‍💨🔥 Absolutely delicious. So delicious, in fact, that I completely forgot to take the pictures and videos I should have 😂😭

Sometimes you just have to put the phone down and actually enjoy the moment.

Thank you for creating a space where bereaved families could come together, share a meal and honour our babies in a way that felt warm, joyful and full of love. 🤍

Our babies may not be physically sitting at the table with us, but they will always have a place at it. 👼🏾𓋹🌹💚

As we celebrate two years of Ebony Bonds Bereavement Support, we want to take a moment to say thank you.

To every family who has trusted us with their stories, shared their beautiful babies, allowed us to walk alongside them and helped us understand what meaningful support truly looks like, thank you.

To our allies who continue to listen, learn, advocate and stand with us, thank you.

To our supporters, partners, healthcare professionals, organisations, event organisers and everyone who has opened a door, shared a post, invited us into a room or simply believed in the work we’re doing, thank you.

Our growth has never been about doing this alone. It has been about collaboration.

Every introduction, conversation, partnership, referral, speaking opportunity, shared post and act of support has helped us increase our reach.

And every time our reach grows, there is another Black family who might find us when they need us.

That is what this is all about.

Building connections. Creating change. Reaching further. Supporting more Black families. 🖤

**Grief doesn’t always begin with a goodbye. 🤎**

Sometimes it begins with a negative test.
A cycle that didn’t work.
A failed IVF attempt.
A miscarriage.
Or the loss of the future you had already started imagining.

And then, somehow, you’re expected to pick yourself up, start another cycle, go back to work, answer questions and simply **move on**.

But moving forward doesn’t mean you’ve stopped grieving.

At our first **Black & Brown Fertility Show in May**, these incredible women spoke openly about **miscarriage, baby loss, grief and trauma**. Each turned their own experiences of loss into advocacy — creating space for others to feel heard, understood and less alone.

This October, we’re continuing that conversation.

We’ll be exploring **Baby Loss & Miscarriage and Mental Wellbeing**, recognising that fertility isn’t only a physical journey. The emotional impact matters too.

🤎 You can be hopeful and still hurt.
🤎 You can try again and still grieve.
🤎 You can move forward while carrying what happened with you.

**Grief deserves space. Trauma deserves care. Your story deserves to be heard.**

It was an evening like no other.

A welcoming, warm and safe space for bereaved parents and others to gather, share, relax and enjoy some absolutely amazing food.

We were so pleased to be able to support this event and be part of something so unique and special. We know it’s only going to get bigger and we are patiently awaiting the date for the next supper club event.

A special squeeze for the wonderful Shakira, who put her everything into making this a reality and much needed space for everyone who attended. The attention to detail (we see you @bychy_x), the flavoursome food (@deliciouslyrooted) and the stunning venue (@south_london_louie) made for a night in which we left that space with full hearts and stomachs.

We were well and truly “Held at the Table”

There’s something about fatherhood after baby loss that is difficult to put into words.

You can know the weight of your baby in your arms, remember the shape of their face, and still find yourself wondering who they would be now.

You were their dad then. You are their dad now. Nothing about the length of their life can change that.

For every dad carrying a child they didn’t get enough time with. 🤍
