We all want a big life, but nobody tells us how much it can cost.

The last two years have been the hardest of my life, professionally and personally. I invested everything I had in real estate, and when the market softened, I lost everything. After five years of working so hard, it feels like I'm starting all over.

While my professional world was crumbling, my personal life was falling apart too. I made choices before I'd really healed, and I'm still healing. That's why I'm focused on myself right now.

Life has a way of humbling us. When we're young, we feel almost immortal, like we have all the time in the world. Then we realize how fast it goes and that we can't get it back. So we become more intentional. We slow down, think things through, and start considering what's best for others, not just ourselves. The best decisions are often the hardest ones.

There's so much I would change if I could. But I wouldn't trade the big life. I went all in, I lost big, and I learned big, about business and about myself.

So I'm choosing to see the good in this season and keep moving forward. I will rebuild, personally and professionally. That's the only option.

I'm sharing this because social media is mostly highlight reels, and people rarely share their hardships. If you're struggling right now or starting over, you're not alone. 🤍

The true value of life isn't measured by the number of years on a calendar, but by the depth, warmth, joy, and purpose we squeeze into whatever time we have.

Começar uma agenda no fim do verão feels right.

On Friday of Dragon Con I wore my new Eloise Bridgerton costume twice! Once in the morning for a photoshoot and then again briefly in the evening for one of the Regency events they held this year. #bridgerton #eloisebridgerton #bridgertoncosplay #regencycostume #evafoamarmor

Up and getting ready bright and early!

Headed to the Courtland with @fancyfolkphotography to this amazing random spot we stumbled upon during the badge pickup line the day prior. It was pretty much made for a Bridgerton photoshoot - faux cake, champagne flutes, flowers, candles, and fancy chairs! We were so lucky to come across it. Already shared one photo from our shoot last week, more to come!

Snapped this pic of @annaliserose_irl and @squidtrek as Mrs. Maisel and Suzy while we were there!

Next up, lunch at @avivabykameel where I got to take a selfie with the legend himself, Chef Kameel! I always try to go every year, the food is so good, fresh and healthy!

Ran into @danibeedabbles back at the Marriott in her Marriott carpet Witch Hat Atelier cosplay! So perfect!

Seriously how cute is this?! I can’t wait until I have my own WHA costume this year too. I love this series so much 🥹

The rest of the afternoon was spent doing all things Project Hail Mary! But I did put my Eloise cosplay back on in the evening to go to the Regency Cotillion event! This was my first year going to that (or any Regency event ever actually) and it was so much fun! I wish I had gotten more pictures of it but we were so busy learning the dances, which was easier than I thought it would be! It looked overwhelming at first but once we tried it and practiced some, I think we got the hang of it y while. Would love to do something like this again at Dragon or elsewhere!

Definitely want to wear Eloise out again to some more events! I love this costume and it was a lot of fun to wear. Very proud of how both the dress and the armor turned out! I may try to make another shorter version of the dress or a mashup perhaps, so I can wear the armor in some fashion to one of the TN Ren Fest weekends!

I feel like this video would be perfect for the “intimidated of me at the con?” “Literally me at the con” 💀🤣 Being goo

Amy Sherman-Palladino at PaleyFest 2019 on the secret behind Midge Maisel: the audience learns stand-up right alongside her. 🎤✨🎩

Instead of a pro who has it all figured out from day one, we follow a woman who only knows the fun side of the Gaslight and learns what goes into it.

And with Rachel Brosnahan bringing Midge to life, watching her learn is pure joy.

Hi! Welcome! Sit! Coffee? Obviously coffee. Welcome to The ASP Universe! 🎬🎩

This is the home of everything Amy Sherman-Palladino: the writer and director behind Gilmore Girls (hello, Stars Hollow and Lorelai & Rory), Bunheads (ballet, Paradise and sass), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (a housewife, a mic, a revolution) and more: scenes, trivia, photos, BTS, fandom! All at the speed of a Gilmore Girls argument.

And those Emmys? Real. Two of them, for writing and directing Maisel in 2018.

Follow before Lorelai finishes her third coffee. Spoiler: she’s already on the fourth. ☕☕☕
