📅 September 8–9, 2026 (Wave 2)

After the paper archives (manuscripts, scores, composition process), the audio materials (magnetic tapes, DATs, and more) have now joined the collections of the BnF.

“Luc & Brunhild Ferrari” donation represents over 30,000 documents.

Our thoughts go to everyone who, over the past 20 years, has contributed to the preservation and consolidation of these archives. An emotional moment for Brunhild, and the beginning of a new chapter for this singular body of work ❤️

The @labnf teams will now catalogue and reference each document, progressively making the collection accessible to the public.

Researchers are welcome to contact us.

Thank you for waiting…🌿
After a summer of work, editing, listening and fine-tuning, we are delighted to finally unveil this film about Natures.
Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who contributed to its making through their patience, insight, expertise and sensitivity. This teaser is also the fruit of their dedication and collective skill.
We share it today as a small surprise for the new season, but above all as a way of celebrating and preserving the memory of an artistic adventure that continues to resonate within us.
Nearly an hour of music, gesture, shadow and light: Natures, was brought to life through an exceptional collective commitment.
Following its premiere and tour, this teaser does not attempt to summarise the work. Instead, it preserves an impression of it: shadows, gestures, light, space and time.
To everyone who carried this creation, onstage and behind the scenes, we extend our deepest gratitude. Thank you for your trust, patience and everything we shared.
At last, the film is here. We are very happy to share it with you.

still super happy and grateful for Paradisum journey!

Thank you @ikaria_dance_festival for showing our art!

PARADISUM

An abstract video inspired by In Paradisum, Op. 164 by Denis Dufour. It explores the idea of paradise we strive for - how we imagine it, and how much we are willing to sacrifice for it. It is a story about the journey toward an idealized goal and the encounter between dreams and reality.

REPOST from @Flotation_Device_KBCS:
Flotation Device celebrates Hans Werner Henze’s 100th birthday with a mini-retrospective of his dramatic works that include multilingual cabarets, an experimental chamber opera about an escaped Cuban slave, and iconoclastic adaptation of The Bacchae, Ondine and Tristan and Isolde. Janice Giteck gets her own 80th birthday salute with a work inspired by the Coyote character in Native American literature. Dewa Alit tackles the intonational clashes between a Balinese gamelan and a Western piano, while pianist Emily Manzo plays Mary Halvorson. Halvorson in turn plays guitar with trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire, and Horse Lords, Steve Layton, Denis Dufour and the Seattle-based Gefühlswallung trio join in the cavalcade with their own new releases. We close with our first look at Kaikhosru Sorabji’s 7½-hour Opus Archimagicum in its premiere recording by pianist Tellef Johnson.

Sunday, June 28, 10pm–Midnight PDT (GMT -7), on 91.3 @KBCS Bellevue/Seattle/Tacoma (streaming at KBCS.FM). Available in podcast format (with HQ audio) at Mixcloud.com. Creative and improvised music from the Northwest and around the world with host Michael Schell.

👋 Dear listeners,
the album Complete Works 03, featuring ‘Enfer’ 🔥 has just been upgraded with an additional track on Bandcamp:

‘Paradis’ (1974) [feat. François Bayle] ✨

Unlike the first two pieces, this one is not based on spoken voice and is co-composed… for synthesizer and four tape players (see notes).

This long-lost recording is the studio version by the composers themselves, dated May 1st 1975 — the third piece completing the iconic ‘Divine Comédie’ triptych.

A rare and essential addition. Enjoy.

.
.

This track will also appear in François Bayle’s Complete Works…

🤫 it’s coming.

As promised during the listening session launched on Luc Ferrari’s birthday, here is a photo by Brunhild from a series taken during the trip to Algeria in 1976.
Here, an evening celebration in El Oued 📷

This trip and the field recordings made there are used in the pieces “Algérie 76” and “Promenade symphonique dans un paysage de printemps” 👂
