I just had a birthday and hit 10,000 followers🎉 time for a reintroduction🫵🏾 - hi guys i’m Josh, 24:

1. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

Growing up it was just me and my mum: a Zambian asylum seeker who raised me in Bradford and refused to let our circumstances decide who I got to become. Church choir kid, read too much and ended up winning a full scholarship to read law at the University of Oxford.

2. WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
London, merging two worlds - by day, I work in corporate law and I’m closing in on qualification. By night, I’m a session recording artist and backing vocalist (@soulsanctuarygospelchoir) while building a platform on life, careers and music.

(side note: we also released an album with @londonsymphonyorchestra last November and have an upcoming international tour in dec so make sure you keep an eye out!)

3. WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE IN 3–5 YEARS
Qualified, working in the emerging companies space, with a platform big enough that a 16-year-old in Bradford doesn’t have to guess how any of this works. I want the initiatives I’m quietly building now to be pulling people through the doors I had to find on my own.

4. ONE PIECE OF YOUR CREATIVE WORK

A Reel I made about being sent to Zambia for discipline as a kid. This is a decision facing many families in the diaspora and almost nobody talks about publicly. It affected me deeply for years.

It was a challenging post, but I was so moved by the discussion it created. I spoke to parents who’d made that choice and carried guilt about it; people who had been the ones sent as children; and struggling parents fretting over whether they should make that decision. That’s the kind of content I want to keep making.

5. ONE PIECE OF CREATIVE WORK FROM SOMEONE ELSE THAT HIT FOR YOU

My cousin’s content. He has cerebral palsy and made the US national soccer. The achievement is crazy. But what gets me is that he just refused to allow his disability to stop him. He inspires me every day.@cerebralpossibility.

@maisonfoundation hopefully see you in Cannes🫵🏾❤️

Here is my @maisonfoundation Application:

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
I’ve lived in three cities that shaped three versions of me. But My Voice lives in many worlds!
St. Louis — home, birthplace, and the city that taught me to hustle because you cant spell hustle without STL. It also sparked my love for architecture.
Huntsville — where I earned my Marketing degree, built my sales career, and learned the power of community while helping a fast‑growing city tell its stories.
New York — where Translation showed me the intersection of culture and business, and where I discovered the gift that changed everything: my voice. I went on to narrate some of the most inspiring cultural moments of the last decade.
Now I’m back in St. Louis City, bringing it all home.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
I’m in the space where the road disappeared, but the vision sharpened. I run an independent creative agency offering creative strategy, voiceover, and MC work for storytellers shaping culture and community.
I graduated from Alabama A&M in 2013 — and maybe one day I’ll still chase that architecture degree. For now, I’m designing how stories are felt. Voiceover found me, and it became my ikigai. I help stories and brands sound like their truest selves.

WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE IN 3–5 YEARS?
I want to elevate every craft I touch — voice, strategy, hosting — to a higher frequency. I want my lived experience to shape the way I lead, create, and tell stories.
Staying open has taken me far, including voicing work that earned a Silver and Bronze Cannes Lion for “Driving While Black.”
I want to create pathways for young people to find their voice and their sovereignty. And I’m moving toward being recognized across the industry as someone who shapes culture with intention and integrity.

ONE PIECE OF YOUR CREATIVE WORK
Alabama A&M University — Love The Future 150th Anniversary Campaign
My voice helped my alma mater raise a record‑breaking $20M+ in individual giving — securing the next 150 years for generations of Bulldogs. One of the most meaningful projects I’ve ever been trusted with.
