Ten rooms in Meursault, and the owners started out as guests. @maisonlechevreuil opened this September opposite the town hall and church, in a 17th century hunting lodge once famous for la mère Daugier’s game terrines. Two years of restoration with local artisans. Showers curved like wine vats. Corton stone underfoot. A bar of rammed earth. Hästens beds and views over the vines or the village square. Downstairs, TERRE cooks over fire, with two terraces and a wine list built for Burgundy lovers. This is what happens when the people who love a place are the ones who rebuild it. Would you book it for harvest weekend? Photos: @MrTripper #TheIndependentEdit #BoutiqueHotel #IndependentHotels #Meursault #Burgundy

Het is er all year round mooi. Chill all the way.

#OnTheRadar: Fresh from a two-year restoration, Maison Le Chevreuil reopened in Meursault, France, this September. With just ten rooms, a restaurant and a wine bar, it is the kind of place made for discovering local craftsmanship and Burgundy’s food and wine traditions. . . . .
