🌮 FREE LOADED NACHOS 🌮

The nachos were truly so good and FREE (coupon link in my bio). Valid in-store until Sep 30 with the purchase of 2 entrees so grab a friend and go!

@maizal_rmf is an authentic Mexican family restaurant that really nails all their dishes. My favourite would be the tacos which had juicy meat with bold flavours. The space was bright and clean too. Check them out!

Thank you @piggie_van & @piggie_ca for the invite!

Where and what we are in the @tastingplatesyvr Vancouver Taco Crawl. 🌮🇲🇽

First stop was @loretobrunch and their incredible Yucatan taco…blue corn tortilla topped with beans and coleslaw, 12 hour braised pulled pork cochinita, topped with crema fresca, cotija cheese and pickle onions. It was fantastic. As was the guava mojito.

Then on to @lastortasmexican, not for tortas (though we’ll definitely be back to try these, they looked amazing), but for a fresh and crispy battered fish taco topped with fresh cilantro, diced tomatoes, shredded cabbage, and a drizzle of creamy sauce. Also added on esquites (love this dish) and tried the seasonal special Aperol margarita, which was so good!🍹

Stop three was @maizal_rmf, which looked very unassuming but served up a delicious pork belly carnitas taco that was packed with flavour…the meat was so succulent, and we loved the crispy pork belly bits on top, added such a nice crunch.

And finally ended the evening at @tamalyshop with a beef suadero tamal. I was very excited to be getting a tamale, and it was perfectly crumbly and delicious. And grabbed a Glorias dulce de leche caramel on my way out for dessert from their huge selection of Mexican candy! 🫔

Such a fun night! Dumpling brunch crawl next up, right @s_chris_wandering? 😉😋🥟

🇲🇽 Stopped by this Mexican street food spot in Vancouver and we had a feast 😳

🌮 Tacos — large variety of flavours! The fish was my favourite but the plantain was very unique; never had it in a taco before!

🌯 Burrito — hearty, warm, filling, good amount of cheese

🧀 Nachos — loaded with toppings, could’ve been crispier; think it would’ve been better the sauces were on the side

🍹 Mocktails — hibiscus, horchata, passionfruit

🍰 Tres leches cake — first time trying this cake. Quite sweet and the super soft texture wasn’t for us

🥐 Churros — our favourite of the desserts, nice and crispy

🎟️ FREE nachos when you use my coupon and order 2 entrees - link in bio!

Sometimes food is funny like that it can transport you somewhere without you ever leaving the city. 🇲🇽✨

To my audience, I want to share some FREE NACHOS!! 🌮

My visit to @maizal_rmf on Main Street felt like a little trip to Mexico. There’s something so special about food that holds memories, places, and stories within every bite.

The flavours felt incredibly authentic and humble, while the presentation was thoughtful and beautiful. Every dish felt like it had a purpose and everything was a hit. 🤌🏼

But what made the experience even better was the staff. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely from start to finish.

Maizal reminded me why I love discovering restaurants: sometimes you’re not just having dinner, you’re being transported somewhere. ❤️

If you’re craving a little taste of Mexico in Vancouver, add this one to your list. 🇲🇽
