Today marks 7 years of living in Vienna.

I wanted to talk about everything I left behind back home, but while choosing photos, I realized I actually wanted to talk about the life I’ve built in my *new* home.

Everyone who knows me knows I miss Mexico (my family, my friends, my people, and yes, my food) EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Seven years of longing for something I no longer have… not exactly the easiest emotional workout. And still, the truth is: I’ve enjoyed my life in Vienna too.

So many incredible things have happened. I moved to a country that doesn’t speak my mother tongue, not even my second language 😅. I got married, which I thought was the whole reason I was here… but it turns out it was just the vehicle God used to bring me into a whole new season.

I’ve made a family here. I got my niece and nephew, who fully own my heart. I’ve met extraordinary friends who’ve stayed close; some from near, some from far. I stepped into my calling and life mission, and on the way, God sent me people who became family too. I did what everyone thought impossible… I learned how to cook!! 😂

And ofc, I've also had hard moments with way too many hours in the hospital 😅 Still, I’m so blessed to live this life. I’m not just from here or from there; my heart lives in Mexico and in Vienna, and I’m truly grateful for everything the Lord has given me in both places 🥹💕

It’s impossible to tag everyone who has impacted my life in these seven years, but please know: I’m thankful for you.

I don’t know how much longer I’ll be here (maybe 30 years, maybe a few months) but what I do know is that I can say with full confidence: Ebenezer, up to this point the Lord has helped us. 🫶🏼✨

As some know, my maternal family is from Acapulco. Fortunately, everyone is fine, with material damage, but they are fine. My cousins have just returned to Acapulco with two cars loaded with groceries to distribute directly to people who need it. On Thursday, November 2, they will return to CDMX to fill the cars again with whatever we manage to collect.

If you want to donate money so that they can buy what is needed, you can donate directly to their account or to my PayPal and I will pass it on to them. Please indicate that it is a donation.
