36:37. Three miles and change. And a whole lot of gratitude. ❤️

Yesterday, I ran the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run 5K. Every single step.

I finished 35th out of approximately 250 women in my age division, and when I reached mile three, I still had something left in the tank!

The best part of the morning had very little to do with my finish time.

It was hearing my mom and Basecamp family cheering me on. It was having my son Max run alongside me for part of the race. It was knowing my nephew Lane was out there running, too. And it was knowing Major would have been there running with us if he hadn’t been taking the ACT.

Next year marks ten years since my breast cancer diagnosis. Ten years of ongoing treatment designed to reduce my risk of recurrence. Ten years filled with some magnificent moments and some heartbreaking ones. Ten years of learning what my body, my mind, and my heart are capable of.

There’s something pretty remarkable about reaching a place where you can look back at everything you’ve navigated and get genuinely excited about what’s ahead.

Sometimes Stillness Is the Strategy.

And sometimes, after the stillness, you run. ❤️

45 radiation treatments. Countless prayers. And today…he rang the bell 🔔 ❤️

Dad, watching you walk through this with such strength and courage has been something I’ll never forget. Today we celebrate the end of treatment, a huge milestone, and the man we love so much.

You did it, Dad.

Here’s to healing, strength, and all the beautiful days ahead 🙏
