A beautiful journey of taking recycled bottles and tetrapaks, turning them into eco bricks, and using them as the base for our walls… to then transforming these walls into beautiful art made of mud.

Thank you to all of the souls who made this possible. With the hummingbird as the centerpiece of one of these walls, I was reminded of this very special story ..

🌀
There was once a great forest fire. All the animals fled in fear, watching helplessly as the flames consumed their home. But one small hummingbird flew back and forth between a stream and the fire, carrying tiny drops of water in its beak and dropping them on the flames.

The other animals, watching from a distance, mocked the hummingbird:

“What are you doing? You’ll never put out the fire with those few drops!”

The hummingbird replied:

“I’m doing my part.”

🌀

That’s how the process of construction for our new Maloka has felt. So thank you to all the little hummingbirds coming through and doing their part! 🫶
