Eden Paul, owner of Makai Pilates & Yoga, and I both saw the same opportunity.

Makai does Pilates and yoga exceptionally well. Hybrid House does strength exceptionally well.

So instead of trying to be everything to everyone, we get to point our communities toward each other.

We can tell our members, “Go right upstairs. Get your Pilates. Get your yoga. Get the recovery and mobility that complements your strength.”

And Eden can tell hers, “Go right downstairs. Get strong.”

It’s a partnership that just makes sense.

Between the two of us, Eden and I have spent nearly 60 years in this industry. We’ve both worked in the corporate fitness world, and we’ve both taken everything we learned there and built businesses of our own.

We understand programming. We understand progression. But just as importantly, we understand hospitality, customer service, and what it means to genuinely take care of people.

And our communities are incredibly aligned: adults largely in their 30s through 60s who aren’t just training for today.

They want to move well.
They want to feel good.
They want to stay capable.
They want to be strong for life.

Pilates + yoga upstairs.
Strength downstairs.

Makai x Hybrid House. It just makes sense.

Meet Eden, owner of Makai Pilates.

With over 30 years in the fitness industry, Eden has done it all—from big-box gyms to startups to building a business of her own. Now, with Makai thriving and a second location opening just around the corner, she continues to lead with the same values that immediately connected us.

Her approach is incredibly member-forward, with hospitality, customer service, quality coaching, and genuine care at the center of everything she does.

That alignment is exactly why a Makai x Hybrid House partnership felt so natural. Two female-owned businesses. Two experienced teams. Two different modalities with the same belief: take care of people first.

We’re pretty excited about what we can build together.

HYBRID HOUSE × MAKAI 🤝

This partnership just makes sense.

At Hybrid House, we believe deeply in strength—building muscle, building capacity, and creating bodies that can do more.

But strength doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

Pilates and yoga bring an incredibly important piece to the equation: mobility, recovery, body awareness, control, and restoration. And on the flip side, strength creates a foundation that allows us to get even more out of those practices.

Two different modalities. Two aligned missions.

Because the goal was never just to be strong.
It’s to build bodies that are strong, mobile, resilient, and capable for LIFE.

Strength needs recovery.
Mobility needs strength.
And we think we’re better together.

Welcome to the Hybrid House × Makai partnership. 🏠🤝

LENGTHEN WHAT YOU STRENGTHEN.

Okay, technically, we’re not lengthening your muscles. But you get the idea.

Strength training and Pilates are different modalities — and that’s exactly why they work so beautifully together.

When we started talking about a partnership, we weren’t just looking for somewhere to send our members for Pilates. We wanted a studio that felt aligned with the way we do things at Hybrid House.

Elite coaching.
Highly trained and certified professionals.
Attention to detail.
Intentional programming.
Progression over randomness.
Safety first.
Clients first. Always.

And we found it.

Two female-owned businesses. Two different ways of training. A whole lot of shared values.

We believe deeply in strength. They believe deeply in their craft. And together, we get to give our communities access to both.

Different modalities. Same standards.
The perfect complement to your strength.

Makai Pilates and Hybrid House continue to show what happens when two local businesses choose to support each other, share their communities, and create something valuable together.

Different styles of movement. One shared goal: helping people become stronger, healthier, and more connected.

We love capturing businesses that understand there’s room for everyone to win.

MAKAI x HYBRID HOUSE

This partnership has been LONG overdue.

Because strength needs Pilates + yoga.
And Pilates + yoga needs strength.

We believe the strongest, healthiest bodies are the ones that can lift, move, bend, recover and keep doing all of it for a really long time.

So Hybrid House + Makai are officially teaming up to give our communities access to BOTH.
