Last week we were thrilled to team up with @make.cic to welcome @benandjerrysuk and @hopenothate to Huyton Village for a very special day of community, creativity and celebration, with plenty of scoops of Ben & Jerry's new flavour, Love Nut Hate.

Thanks to all who braved the weather to have a chat, enjoy some ice cream and help bring our special Huyton community mural to life. 🍦 🎨

WHAT A DAY! ✨ 🌙

After a year of working with Knowsley Place Partnership, 45 hours of listening and consultation with over 300 school children and education professionals, today we launched The Moon on a Stick - Knowsley’s new cultural education network, at the incredible @shakespearenorthplayhouse

Bringing together local schools, artists, creative organisations and council leaders, the event celebrated a shared commitment to ensuring every child in Knowsley has access to exciting, ambitious creative and cultural experiences.

Highlights included a performance of The Moon on a Stick poem, written by local artist Ashleigh Nugent @ashleigh_nugent_writer, a sharing of our consultation film and rich data insights, and fantastic performances from children across schools in Knowsley to open and close the event.

Today, children were placed centre stage at Shakespeare North's Cockpit Theatre, a beautiful metaphor that will continue for years to come as part of Knowsley's This Place, This Stage programme.

Huge thanks and congratulations to everyone involved, it has been a wonderful year working with you! @cultureknowsley @shakespearenorthplayhouse @make.cic @galleriesmuseum @ourheartofglass @adlib.co.uk Knowsley's Music and Performing Arts Service, @_prescot_school @prescotprimaryschool @halewood_academy, Our Lady's Catholic Primary, Alt Bridge School, Whiston Willis Primary and all the other schools who took part in the consultation.
