Gender stereotypes that shape our expectations about whether a man or woman is a better ‘fit’ for a certain job have been powerful for as long as we can remember. Very few cultures see dance as an acceptable activity for men, musical theatre and dance is still associated with women. ⁣
Along with that, parents tend to play a key role in the decision-making and general career path of children choose to pursue. Ensuring their children are set up for a successful career, future financial stability and good quality of life is a pressing challenge for every parent. While the parents try to shield the children from mistakes they made, these inevitable mistakes and hiccups along the journey are vital for their personal growth. ⁣
