Vail’s latest financial results show how much a challenging winter can affect the ski industry 🎿

Vail Resorts reported lower profits for fiscal 2026, with historically low snowfall contributing to declines in resort revenue and visitation. Early pass sales for the 2026-27 season are also down, putting weather and skier demand in focus as winter approaches.

For Vail buyers and homeowners, the key is how these broader trends translate to the local market. While resort performance and pass sales offer useful context, local inventory, pricing, and buyer demand will be important indicators to watch as the 2026–27 ski season approaches.

That’s the kind of context The Stockton Group tracks for our clients, alongside the local numbers.

Wondering how this affects your plans to buy or sell? Message The Stockton Group or visit the link in our bio and we’ll walk you through what we’re seeing.

It comes down to a combination of limited ultra-luxury inventory, accessibility, global recognition, and long-term demand.

At The Stockton Group, we see this firsthand. Through the Vail Vault™ network, which spans 80+ luxury markets, we know when capital starts moving toward Vail from other premier resort towns, often before a property is ever listed.

Wondering where Vail fits into your real estate strategy? Message The Stockton Group today and we’ll walk you through what’s available, on and off the market.

They stayed open to the strategy, and that made all the difference.

For these sellers, the process was never about setting a plan once and hoping the market would follow. It was about listening to feedback, making thoughtful adjustments, and continuing to position the home with care as conditions evolved.

Together, we refined the approach along the way, adapting the strategy based on market response while keeping consistent exposure through marketing outreach, open houses, and continued buyer engagement.

Behind the scenes, trusted contractors were brought in to help the property show at its very best, creating a stronger presentation and helping the home stay competitive throughout the process.

That combination of preparation, flexibility, and trust helped keep momentum moving toward a successful closing.

Selling well is not always about one perfect plan. It is about knowing when to adjust, how to respond, and how to keep moving forward with confidence.

If you’re considering selling, our team would be happy to help you understand the market, refine your strategy, and position your home for success.
