I’ve realized something…

Just about every good thing in my life has started with being uncomfortable.

The first workout.
The first date.
The “yes” to things outside my comfort zone.
The emails to pitch myself.
And yes… stepping into freezing water.

Naturally we want to avoid the uncomfortable… because comfort IS cozy… but it’s not where change happens.

So if something feels a little scary, awkward or hard right now… you might be standing exactly where growth is waiting.

Big changes rarely start with big actions.

Start small. So small you can’t fail.

Build one simple daily habit, stay consistent, and let momentum do the heavy lifting. At first, healthy habits can feel uncomfortable. But over time, what once felt difficult becomes routine, and eventually becomes part of who you are.

Build the habit. The habit builds the lifestyle. 👊

Cold plunge advice becomes life advice

* Take the first step.
* Take a deep breath.
* Tell yourself, “I AM STRONG” (if you don’t believe it, say it anyway)
*Be proud you did it.

The cold water isn’t always the hardest part… the anticipation usually is.

Love your mother.
Love yourself too.

After the year I’ve had — breast cancer, broken ribs, hospital stays, healing, hormones, exhaustion — I’ve learned that comfort isn’t lazy. It’s survival. It’s luxury. It’s protection.

These are the things carrying me through this season:
the pillow that finally lets me sleep,
the slippers I accidentally wore to Whole Foods,
the pajamas for my fellow hot Tamoxifen girls,
the sauna that feels like therapy,
the deodorant that somehow survived hospital sweat,
the caftan that makes me feel glamorous even when I’m running on fumes,
and jewelry that feels like little pieces of armor.

Always protected. Never ordinary.
