A little break from colouring, but I've been working on this little lion instead 🦁🦁

Sheffield has had the @prideofyorkshiretrail this summer. I fell in love with Lord Liquorice Allsorts who was created and brought to life by @makermrs . So when I saw the mini Lions I knew I wanted to recreate this sculpture. I just hope I've done it justice.

My Dad had such a LOVE of Liquorice Allsorts, even attempting to charge is 5p per sweets the year he got a money box with sweets in 😆 this year marks 13 years since he passed, so it felt incredibly fitting 🥰🍬

🐘 Meet Ellie Pants

Inspired by the simple joy of getting dressed and expressing personality through colourful patterns, Ellie Pants is a vibrant celebration of creativity, individuality and fun.

Designed by artist Nicola Mills and sponsored by The Maidenhead Golf Club, this striking sculpture brought smiles to thousands of trail-goers during Trunks across the Thames.

Now, Ellie Pants is looking for her forever home.

💚 By bidding in the Herd Under the Hammer Auction on 15 October, you'll not only take home a unique piece of public art, you'll also help support Thames Hospice in providing compassionate care to local people and their families.

More @prideofyorkshiretrail at @lovemeadowhall ❤️

I went to visit the @prideofyorkshiretrail lions today at Meadowhall - all 300 of them (including the cubs). My lions Fern and Forrest looked pleased to be with the pride and in such amazing company.
The sun shone and the sky was blue, it seems such a long time since those cold November days in the painting space.
Chatting to a complete stranger by the cubs, as this is Sheffield and that’s what people do - she said how moving the cubs were. I knew exactly what she meant - they were so positive and gave so many messages of hope, of being kind, they perhaps brought a tear to many eyes.
The lions, lionesses and cubs will be there until Sunday 4th, definitely worth a visit - in support of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Emergency Department.
The auctions are on 11th and 18th October, see the @prideofyorkshiretrail website for the running order.

🦁 THAT’S A WRAP ON THE PRIDE OF PORTSMOUTH! 💙

What a fantastic activity this has been!

Over the summer, Portsmouth has been taken over by lions, and it’s been brilliant seeing families, kids, grandparents and even my own friends and family getting out and exploring our city in search of them.

And now we’ve got the final numbers… 👀

🦁 11,759 app users

🦁 263,166 lion collections

🦁 3,040 miles collectively recorded

That’s the equivalent of walking around Portsea Island 220 times mate!

How good is that?!

Whether you managed to find every lion, tracked down a few favourites, or simply spotted them while going about your day, you’ve all played a part in making the Pride of Portsmouth one of the highlights of Portsmouth100.

There’s plenty more Portsmouth100 activities to still to look forward to, including the new Portsmouth100 exhibition at Portsmouth Museum & Art Gallery launching in October and the big Portsmouth100 finale later this year.

But for now…

WELL DONE PORTSMOUTH. 💙⚓️

What was your favourite lion?

We are on the last 5 #scottiesinthecity from the @wildinart @maggiesscottiestrail and today we present to you the fabulous Sherlock Bones by @makermrs which was on the main road through Giffnock.
.
We love detectives and especially love Sherlock Holmes. We like reading the books and seeing the different depictions of this character, but particularly like Benedict Cumberbatch in the BBC’s Sherlock and Jonny Lee Miller in CBS’s Elementary.
.
We loved this dog for all the details of the great detective too. We would love to go on an adventure with him, solving a mystery!
.
Do you like detective mystery stories? Who is your favourite detective?

Here is the end of our Southside section of @maggiesscottiestrail which we went on to raise funds for @maggiescentres
We have reached our goal but further donations are greatly welcome, they go directly to Maggie's, who provide support across the UK for those living with cancer and their friends and family. 🧡

www.justgiving.com/page/ferrets

(I'll add the link in my stories too)

The final Scotties I have to share are from our River Clyde Walk, so we have a few more posts to share, I hope you enjoy them, it was Kabuki's last adventure. 🌈

Here Freya saw 'Braw Weegie' at Langside Hall and Freya and Kabuki both saw 'Sherlock Bones' outside RBS in Giffnock. We tried to go for a Sherlock Holmes Deerstalker hat look but it is giving more of a Burberry ned vibe 😆

No thank yous tonight, but if you drop a donation you'll recieve a personal thank you from a ferret in my next post. 🦦

Meet the creator behind Sherlock Bones 🕵️‍♀️

Artist Nicola Mills @makermrs said the funny (or punny!) name started from playing around with silly names for Scottie dogs and the character and designed developed as soon as Sherlock Bones was named.

We're so grateful Giffnock BID @thegiffnockvillage for sponsoring Sherlock Bones which you can find outside the RBS in Giffnock.📍

Giffnock BID's kindness means @maggiescentres can continue to support the growing numbers of people impacted by cancer in the UK. 🧡
