Part 3: Moving Forward 🤍 Opening up over the last few days has been one of the scariest but most freeing things I’ve done on this page. I used to think consistency meant pretending everything was perfect and forcing content out. Now, I know consistency means showing up exactly as I am-whether that’s full glam or creating from my bed. Going forward, things are going to feel a lot lighter. The pressure to match every high-pressure timeline is gone. I will be here when my body allows, and resting when it demands it. Thank you for showing me that it is safe to drop the mask. Another Chronically ill content creator and beauty educator update! 💜🦋 ♿️ In my last post, you saw me swatching the medium-deep range (506–556) of the NEW @fentybeauty Fluid Flex Foundation. I decided the ultimate test would be to run a real-world wear test review on one of my most physically challenging days. I spent just over 8 hours in the hospital having my immunotherapy cycle. 🩺🏥 On a regular session, I experience fever, nausea, abdominal cramps, & extreme fatigue. The stomach cramps usually come with a few silent tears. I wasn’t going to hit record & let the camera capture those heavy, grimacing moments, but I wanted to document the day… You’ll see photos of me during the treatment, a final shot outside the hospital waiting for my ride home, & the last image at home. Makeup was applied at 07:00, & that final image was captured at 17:50- making this a true 10-hour hospital wear test! ⏳ I wish I could say I had an easy day at the infusion centre, but my spirit & body were tested! Especially having to keep a mask on 😷 unless eating or drinking & wobbling over to the toilet while still fully connected to the therapy machine.🩼 But despite the excessive sweating & tears, this foundation DID NOT BUDGE. 🤯 The initial finish was a gorgeous, smooth velvet matte. I wasn’t dewy like my normal self, but it never felt dry or tight either! Best of all? The formula did NOT oxidise on me at all! It stayed the exact same shade and undertone through the entire day. Now that is a major flex! 🙌🏾🔥 On my next wear test, I’m going to drop down to shade 516W. Chronically ill content creator check-in! ♿️💜 Navigating an autoimmune flare-up, standing on a crutch, and feeling lightheaded while trying to film in-store is a sport. I really wish beauty counters had seating for accessibility! 🪑🩼😭 I swatched the new @fentybeauty Fluid Flex Foundation in the medium-deep range (506–556) so I could figure out my match and test the dry-down. As usual, I filmed the initial swatches in store, and then stepped outside to capture the true tones under natural day light. ☀️💨 I’ll be back for the deep-dark tones (566-596) once my body resets! Huge shoutout to @spacenk where I filmed and got 3 samples and @bootsuk (where I grabbed my prescription and 3 more samples on the way home!). Dear Diary, It’s been 13 months. 13 months of self-funding this shade matching series, buying compacts, and holding up a mirror to the major chasms in the beauty industry. Today hits a little different. The founder herself just commented on my blurring balm powder 10 & 11 undertone gap video to confirm that the missing shades are officially underway. When I started this series over a year ago, my goal was to provide the data needed to bridge these exact gaps for our community. Seeing that consistent work turn into actual industry change is everything I could have hoped for. With the DMB national Sephora shade matching campaign rolling out recently (March 2026), and now new complexion shades on the horizon, it feels incredible to know OUR voices are being heard loud and clear at headquarters. Can’t be mixing for ever.” 🛑 🟤🟠 Part 2: The Medium-Dark Rift. “Can’t be mixing forever” is the absolute truth! Consumer fatigue is real when the undertone jumps in the range are this VIOLENT! Shade 7 carries a distinct, warm olive base, but then the range violently leaps to Shade 8’s heavy, intense yellow-golden depth. We desperately need a deeper version of 6.5 here for a peach transition. We have waited 13 months, and it’s time to talk about the missing shades in the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder range. 🟤🔴 Part 1: The Deep Chasm. If you are deep-golden or warm neutral , you already know the struggle. Shade 10 packs a rich, cool-red base, but then the range violently leaps to Shade 11’s very deep, flat neutral.
