Some photographs make you stop and look a little longer.

That’s what we wanted from this series. Something that felt like it belonged to another time, but still had its own character.

We wanted to move away from the usual bridal portraits and explore something a little more dramatic. Playing with light, finding beauty in the shadows, and letting the colours and details tell their own story.

The beautiful saree and jewellery from Yajnaseni, together with Sharmi’s artistry, gave us so much to work with.

It’s always nice when we get to create without worrying too much about the usual rules. Just experimenting, trying things out, and seeing where it takes us.

I genuinely thought I was going to take hours and hours to find THE saree for my wedding. 😂

But would you believe it? I only tried on three sarees… and I found the one. 🤍🙈

I can still hear @eatlovetravelwithneela saying, “It’s nice, but…” 😂
And somehow, that “but” said everything.

Because as much as I thought this was what I wanted… it wasn’t THE one.
