💌 Welcome to Snail Mail from Denmark! Hej! I’m Mel, the artist behind Making Everything Lovelier Art Studio. @makingeverythinglovelier_art

Seven years ago, I moved to Denmark and fell in love with its culture, history, traditions, and everyday way of life. Through this project, I want to share a little piece of Denmark with people around the world, one letter at a time.

Starting in December 2026, I’ll be creating a monthly snail mail experience inspired by life in Denmark.

Each mailing may include:
💌 A cozy letter sharing stories from Denmark
🎨 An art print handcrafted by me
✨ Stickers and handmade goodies
📖 Culture, folklore, history, interviews, travel, and local discoveries

Each month will feature a different theme, place, tradition, person, or story that makes Denmark special. I also aim to share behind-the-scenes videos on YouTube, IG, and TikTok to give you a sneak peek about what you'll be receiving in the mail.

In a world that feels increasingly fast-paced and centered around screens, I wanted to create something slower and more tangible that you can hold in your hands, save, collect, and look forward to receiving each month. This snail mail club is small reminder to slow down, and connect with a place, a story, and a real person on the other side of the world.

Everything is thoughtfully created, packed, and sent with love from my art studio at home in Denmark.

Follow along as I build this dream, share Danish stories, and bring a little piece of Denmark to mailboxes around the world. 📬 I hope you'll join me on this journey. 🥰🙏

🐌 Launching December 2026. Link coming soon!

♥️ With love,
Mel

Happy summer clover! 💚☘️💐 We were inspired by the clover in our small garden here in Denmark and decided to illustrate a floral repeating pattern that captured summer in happy and whimsical brush strokes. Swipe to see how it started! ➡️

This repeating pattern will soon be available on our website for license to be used on any surface and as a digital download art print.

It's strawberry and cherry season here in Denmark! 🍒🍓 We were inspired by the Danske strawberries we bought at the farmer's market today and decided to create a fun summer themed repeating pattern.

Each of the motifs (strawberry, cherry, and leaf) were hand drawn and painted using watercolors, and then scanned and edited using Procreate on the iPad. The repeating pattern was also designed using Procreate.

I really love the strawberries and cherries pattern styled on a cute skater dress 👗, decorative pillows for a pop of color 👌, and on a picnic blanket for a summer feel ☀️. The strawberry motif by itself is also really sweet on a mug for drinking your morning coffee or tea. ☕️🍓❤️🥰

It's midsummer evening here in Denmark, and this is the first video in my new tarot series, where I explore each card one by one using my favorite tarot card decks.

In this video, I'm using the Cottage Magic Tarot by Ann Shen @anndanger and I reference the book, Guided Tarot by Stefanie Caponi @moonvoidtarot.

Here’s to new paths, fresh energy, and trusting the next step! ✨🌿
