I can't begin to express how incredibly grateful I am for the birthday love and well wishes. With another rotation around the sun comes... more perspective, more introspection, more intention, more freedom and an acute awareness of how short time is. Take the trip. Eat the food. See the show. Love on your people. Be vulnerable. Tell the truth. Live your best possible life! 🍾🥂🎂🎈♊️

XO,
Danie

I first experienced the @shedidthat.co_ Holiday Bazaar in 2023 while capturing content for my clients The Crabby Shack and The Wonderful World of Zuri Rose. This year, I returned in a new role ; creating content for my client, @iamrenaebluitt , the founder of this incredible event.

I’ve followed her work since her 2019 Netflix feature ‘She Did That’ spotlighting Black women entrepreneurs, and it’s powerful to see how her company continues to grow and create space for so many talented business owners .

Thank you, Renae, for trusting me with your storytelling and allowing me to contribute creatively to such a meaningful moment. Wishing you and your team continued growth and success.✨🩵🎉

MNEXCLUSIVE: For Makini Regal Martin, The Wonderful World of Zuri Rose is more than a book—it’s a love letter to her daughter, Zuri Rose, and to every child who deserves to see themselves in the stories they read.

It all began when the Brooklyn mompreneur was searching for children’s books for her daughter to read, but she found that the selection was lacking. “I was a mom looking for books for my daughter, and it became apparent to me that there were just not enough books on the shelves that reflected her,” Martin said.

She saw a need—and an opportunity to get creative. Through her publishing company, BloomHaus Press, Martin brought The Wonderful World of Zuri Rose to life—an A-to-Z adventure about a girl from Brooklyn with a vibrant imagination and a love of flowers.

Martin poured her design expertise into Zuri Rose, transforming it from a simple picture book into an experience to remember. “When I saw little girls doing their unboxing of the book and to see the joy in their eyes—that not only did they receive a book that was thoughtful and beautifully packaged, but they could literally see themselves in this character.”

She's done it again! A testament to what it looks like when a God given gift meets hard work actualized, and power realized. #CowboyCarter is a seminar. A TED talk, if you will. The ultimate masterclass! #Beyonce is a woman who knows herself, her worth and knows she has nothing left to prove. Security oozes from her pores. I STAN. #foreverthatgirl
