Nothing beats the physical spin of this intro. 'Beetlebum' You listen to it, you listen to it again a hundred times, and it remains a masterpiece.

Sunday spin session. Setting the mood with Blackfield, surrounded by my favorite gear. There's nothing like the original pressing for that immersive experience....

Always grateful for all my friends who never stop sharing great music and amazing collections. Today, I was reminded of this album by Mastodon thanks to @mal_spins, as it just celebrated its 24th anniversary yesterday.

Remission is the debut album by Mastodon, released in 2002. I remember discovering this album after reading about the band in metal magazines (possibly Metal Hammer) and seeing how often they were associated with Neurosis. While they became more progressive with Leviathan, this album still carries a strong hardcore punk influence beneath its crushing sludge metal riffs, and Brann Dailor’s drumming is absolutely beastly.

Also added The Hunter to today’s playlist — an album I haven’t revisited in quite some time.

Playlist for today is inspired by @mal_spins post on Power Trip 🙌.. So playlist today is inspired by the band and some of their peers..

Riley Gale is one of my vocalist inspiration when it comes to newer bands that really makes an impact to the metal/hardcore scene. While Nightmare Logic is still considered their best work, my intro to them was Manifest Decimation & their last compilation gathered some of their raw earlier works & a sweet Prong cover (Brainwave) 🔥.

There are many other great bands that carrying the same breath of this newer school of crossover thrash/hardcore (Enforced, Dead Heat, Pest Control etc). I would say Spiritworld is the last one that caught my attention due to how they elaborately 'crossovered' the Integrity styled hardcore to a more thrash metal & death n roll territory💯

Happy Friday peeps.. Normally I will post my favourite albums of the year on every 31st December.. but this year maybe I'll do it a little different.. Honestly we have a lot of great releases this year and it is really hard to decide which one deserves to be on the top.. so i will only choose 10 of my favourite albums here while the rest we will have to keep in view later. I will also tag my new and old friends here on each of the albums that reminds me of them..so i hope it's okay, feel free to let me know if you want me to remove your name in the list (or if you want to be included 😜)
