Panoramic windows in this beautiful new addition by @malamadb bring in natural light and views of the Cascades, Mt. Baker, and Mt. Rainier. The finishing layer, honeycomb shades with top-down bottom-up functionality, allow multiple positions: fully open, closed, or top-down/bottom-up for privacy without losing the connection outdoors.

Clean lines. Privacy and view control. Built for everyday living. ☀️🏡

📍 Edmonds, WA — Kitchen & Bath Remodel Reveal

What started as a simple kitchen renovation turned into a structural surprise — and an opportunity to create something truly custom. 🔨

✨ Kitchen Remodel Highlights:
We removed a wall to open the space, only to uncover a hidden load-bearing post buried in the soffit. After careful structural adjustments, the transformation began:

✅ Seamless porcelain tile borders that meet the hardwood floor
✅ Two-tone cabinets: textured wood + high-gloss finishes for contrast
✅ Sleek quartz countertops and a flush-mounted island hood for a clean modern look
✅ Floating wall cabinets above low-set windows for visual balance

✨ Bathroom Remodel Highlights:
We gave the outdated primary bathroom a fresh, functional redesign:

✅ Curbless walk-in shower with custom glass enclosure
✅ High-variation subway tile for subtle contrast
✅ Modern slab vanities in a textured wood finish
✅ Upgraded plumbing + lighting fixtures to match the clean aesthetic

Did you know there’s a program in Renton and Shoreline, Washington that helps break the cycle of homelessness for families with children?

It’s called Vision House @visionhouseseattle — a nonprofit that’s been providing transitional housing and support services since 1990.
They offer safe homes, job training, financial counseling, and life skills to help families move from crisis to stability.

Their mission is simple:
A healthy home is a basic human right.

In 2024, Vision House provided over 36,000 nights of safe housing to families in need.

A few days ago, Malama Design & Build attended their annual community luncheon.
The event was thoughtful, well-organized, and deeply inspiring — a true reflection of the impact Vision House makes every day.

We’re proud to support this mission — and to stand with partners who believe in building more than just homes:

Campbell Auto Group @campbellautogroup , Toyota of Renton @toyotaofrenton , BECU @becu , ZVNBRGN Capital, Conner Homes @conner_homes , Deloitte @deloitte , Dunn Lumber @dunnlumber1907 , Washington Trust Bank @watrustbank , and many others.
