When I tell you &friends put their whole FOOT in this set…we had a little over a month to put this whole thing together, and it’s definitely one of the most materially dense sets I’ve ever been a part of. Our musical artist stand-ins @bibbysleep @mr.prophecy @libertimutualinsurance @sadi_lo @marlielorose y’all really took this set and elevated it into an experience.
I have so many more words to say but all in all I can just tell y’all that this was one of my favorite experiences of my life. Thank you for watching, supporting, and loving us, whether you were there or you’re watching this post.

HEMMIBOWL 26’ ⭐️ AALIYAH CAST

This weekend will forever hold a special place in my heart. Not only was it my third sold out show, but it was also the first big production I’ve ever had the opportunity to choreograph. To see something that started as an idea in my head come to life in front of a packed audience is a feeling I’ll never forget.

To my cast, thank you.

Thank you for trusting me, believing in my vision, and giving this show everything you had. Every rehearsal, every note, every adjustment, every late night… you all showed up with open minds and a willingness to grow. Your professionalism, dedication, and respect for the process made my job so much easier, and I’m beyond grateful for each and every one of you.
What made this cast so special to me was how diverse we were. Every single dancer came from a different background, had a different story, and brought their own unique style to the stage. Instead of trying to fit into one mold, everyone embraced who they were, and together we created something so much bigger than ourselves. That’s something I’ll always be proud of.
Looking out into the audience and hearing the applause was already emotional, but seeing people rise to their feet for a standing ovation completely took my breath away. In that moment, I wasn’t thinking about myself.. I was thinking about all of you. I was thinking about every rehearsal, every challenge we pushed through, every laugh we shared, and every time we chose to keep going. That standing ovation belonged to all of us.
As a choreographer, sharing your vision can feel incredibly vulnerable. You’re asking people to trust something they can’t fully see yet. So thank you for believing in me, even before everything came together. You didn’t just perform choreography…you gave it life. You made people feel something, and that’s all I’ve ever wanted as a creative.

I’m leaving this experience with a full heart. This wasn’t just another show. It reminded me why I love creating, why I love this community, and why I keep choosing this path.

To my cast, thank you for making this milestone one I’ll never forget. I’m so proud of every single one of you, and I’m so thankful our paths cr

ASBF/ Waacklanta Weekender Dump:

Overdue post for the whole Atlanta weekender, mainly was coming out for the @atlantasalsabachatafestival because I been recently been learning Bachata and adding to my arsenal, getting the vibes from social dancing. Also did meet up with the @knoxcommunitystreetdance fam for the @waacklanta and participated at the event while being here at the time for ASBF, the whole weekend was amazing and definitely was the right timing for a birthday weekender as well. Shoutout to @bailemosbachataknoxville fam, as I have been connecting with them for the past year and taking Bachata classes to this point and had definitely helped me at my first Congress. It was great to also participate and have these shots taken in action when battling, and having the support from KCSD while at the battle event as well. Nothing like this weekend but a battle event and a Salsa/ Bachata festival was a lot for sure. ✨

also wanted to take a moment to say that i was in a little dance slump and i felt like i was losing my confidence, but this class just reminded me that growth isn't always immediately visible. i used to think (and still do) that choreo like this was out of my comfort zone, i just didn't let it get to my head like i used to. time and perspective really play a huge part, and so does effort and patience. sophomore year me would be so proud 🥹
