Thank you @ad_italia and @ad_germany 🤍 for this story on our home in Brooklyn. This home represents the past present and future for me. A place where I can layer in my home of origin and get to live a dream…

The team behind Spoke Wine Bar in Somerville, Massachusetts, has a new “bigger baby sister.” @liarsrestaurant, helmed by Paul Butler, brings the unexpected to comfort and bistro fare: squirt guns top cocktails, the vichyssoise integrates almonds, cauliflower, and butter-basted shrimp, and elk is served in lettuce cups. The slightly askew menu is reflected in the space’s design. @sapid.studio joined two storefronts together for the restaurant and bar, using the “twin” footprints for the related yet distinct concept. The Cambridge Project reveal countdown has begun.

Our photographer is in retouching mode and we’re waiting on the final images, but we couldn’t resist a sneak peek of the dining and living room. So much love went into this one, and we are so proud of the outcome. Stay tuned!

A remarkable home in a remarkable place, and it took an exceptional team to capture it.

Shoot day on Martha’s Vineyard was a true local collaboration (plus one wannabe islander from Jacksonville). Major thanks to the insanely talented @malcolmabrown finding the frame, @meghaneisner layering every detail, @sasharw for the architecture that started it all, @dubinconstruction for execution, and our team making sure the story of this incredible family came through in every room. Grateful for creative partners who care as much as we do.

Final images coming soon.

Exterior coming summer 2027 😉

A house rebuilt almost entirely from the inside needs something to hold it together. Here, tile became the answer. One material, carried from the front door to the top floor. Handmade, colorful, and a little unexpected at every turn, it brings the warmth of a childhood home in Istanbul into an 1852 Brooklyn rowhouse.

LIARS

Liars is a full-service restaurant and bar in Somerville, Massachusetts, created by combining two adjoining retail spaces with identical footprints. Their “twin” condition, along with the unusual geometry of the building’s askew north–south walls, became central to the project.

A wraparound bar anchors the left side of the restaurant, where a custom perforated zigzag metal screen rises from the tiled wall of the back bar up to the ceiling. The screen functions simultaneously as bottle display, spatial divider, and backdrop for cantilevered banquette seating on the opposite side. Together, these interventions create a range of dining conditions while maintaining visual continuity across the space.

Millwork built for growing up holds its shape through every season. A bed nook here, a reading window there, quiet enough to focus. As the routines of the school year return, these rooms settle back into rhythm.

In a new @ad_italia feature, writer Valentina Raggi traces this Italianate rowhouse’s journey from a divided, multi-family building into a colorful family home that draws on the character of a classic Brooklyn rowhouse and the layered interiors of @melisadenizeri childhood home in Istanbul.

Why Everyone is Obsessed with Color Drenching Right Now 🧽✨
If you are still painting your walls one color and keeping your trim, baseboards, and ceiling a stark white... this is your sign to step into the dark side.
We are officially moving away from cold, uniform look-alike spaces and leaning into the ultimate cozy sanctuary vibe: moody quiet luxury home styling.
Enter the power of a fully drenched study. 📚🍷
By painting your walls, trim, doors, built-ins, and even the ceiling in a single, deeply saturated hue—like this stunning espresso and velvet-toned plum—you instantly create a deeply comforting, enveloping "hug" effect.
But the secret to breaking up all that intense color? Curated artwork. 🖼️
Layering art over color-drenched walls creates an incredible visual anchor. Best of all, you don’t need a luxury budget to achieve this look. I love downloading open-source public domain artwork from museum archives and printing them locally on high-quality paper.
To see exactly how this works, swipe to Slide 2 & 3 for two perfect options from the Metropolitan Museum of Art:
🖤 To keep that moody dark atmosphere: Look for a piece like The Farrier by Aert van der Neer (early/mid-1650s). Its rich, deep tones melt beautifully into a saturated wall.
✨ To lighten things up a bit: Try a classic sketching series like One of the Hours Holding the Bridle of a Horse of the Sun by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (ca. 1750–53). The brighter contrast gives the room breathing room.
👇 Would you ever brave a fully drenched plum room, or are you keeping it safe with neutrals? Let me know in the comments!
