POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My new record, Tried & True, is out November 6 and available to pre-save now through the link in my bio🙂

I’ve never really fit into one box musically. There have been moments along the way when I’ve wondered if I should change what I do to fit in. With this record, I wanted to trust my own taste and make the music I love.

I wanted to get back to the music that made me want to do this in the first place: rockabilly, country, blues and rock & roll. A lot of that started in those early bar gigs, figuring out what I liked by playing it for people.

A huge part of bringing these songs and this vision to life was my friend, producer and collaborator Marcus Ramsay @marcusramsaymusic . Having someone who understands where you’re coming from and gives you the room to follow it has meant a lot to me. I’m proud of what we’ve made together

The cover photo was taken outside The Princeton in East Van, the first bar I ever played. After all these years, making a record that sounds like me and bringing it back to where it started feels pretty special.

Hit the link in my bio to pre-save the record! Thanks friends ❤️

A memorable night with VIFF and Mark Mothersbaugh! 🎬🎶
It was such a privilege to perform alongside Mark and experience firsthand the kind, inspiring energy he brings to the room. We got to play music from some incredibly iconic scores he composed, including Hotel Transylvania, The LEGO Movie, Meet the Croods, Minecraft and even a few DEVO classic tunes.
What stood out to me most was hearing Mark talk about his approach to music, composition and life. His perspective is so unique, thoughtful, and reflective, and it was a great reminder of just how many different ways there are to think about and create music.
Grateful to have been part of such a special evening!

Fun night at the @foxcabaret last Thursday! Sold out show, sharing the stage with @smalltownartillery and @emefemusic. What a good time warming up the show with a proper Royal Sundown, then dancing the night away.
Vancouver is in love with live music. And the whole house cheered for @instamiles ‘s 99 year old grandad Lloyd!

I realize that most of my Insta posts are just me with a group of friends, but isn't that what life is all about?

Playlist for Friday August 28, 2026

What a great night and great chat live on air tonight with Bulgarian-Canadian singer, songwriter and poet Gergana Vilinova @gerganavelinova Her new album “Free” is a 10 track album with her composition that were written over a 5 year period. A time when the world experienced the global pandemic and all that came with that, her own experience at becoming a mother for the first time and becoming a Canadian Citizen. It was such a pleasure getting to speak with Gergana as she talked about this album, her life growing up immersed in music in Sofia, Bulgaria and how she has carved her way in the music industry as a singer and an educator.
She is the conductor for the West Vancouver Heritage Choir, the B Sharp Vocal Ensemble as well as faculty at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music. A remarkable woman who surrounds herself with equally talented musicians on this new album called “Free” produced by multi-instrumentalist, Kristian Alexandrov @kristian_alexandrov

Go to her website for more details on her music, her background and how you can purchase her new album on vinyl and CD!
