Meet Receptionist Maliya!

She recently made the exciting transition into veterinary medicine, beginning her career in the fast-paced world of emergency veterinary care. After teaching sixth grade, she was drawn to a profession that offered the same energy, variety, and meaningful connections she loved in the classroom—just without the cubicle!

She is passionate about learning and is grateful to be part of the UVEC team, where she enjoys caring for patients, connecting with their families, and expanding her knowledge every day.

Outside of work, Maliya is a strong advocate for literacy and enjoys staying actively involved in her community. She is an avid reader and can often be found relaxing with a good book while snuggling with her two cats, Lenny and Goose. She also makes time each week to FaceTime with her dog, Ollie, who lives in Texas with her family. In her free time, Maliya enjoys crafting while listening to audiobooks with her fiancée or watching the movie adaptation of her latest read.

Lake Powell has it all! Whether you want to go boating on your elopement day, have a cliffside ceremony, or a picnic on the beach, there’s an adventure for everyone! Lake Powell is perfect for couples craving both water and desert vibes. You can’t beat the contrast of the blue water against the red rock. Paddle board into your ceremony spot, exchange vows on a private beach, or take a Jeep up to a point that overlooks the lake and celebrate as the sun says goodbye and the stars come out over the lake. The possibilities are endless here for adventurous spirits!

December 20th, 2020. A message was sent to “the girl who really loves Pride and Prejudice.” That girl was Bekah and this day marks a whole year since we all became friends. Mere days later, the group chat was flooded with ideas about vanlife and travel. Now we are sitting here, the same day one year later, with the biggest smile on our faces. So much happened within the last year that in all honesty, it feels like one long dream. How we wish we could hug every single one of you that has supported our journey, shared your personal stories with us, and made us smile. To everyone that helped make this year be all that it was, thank you 💛
