Philanthropy week recap!❣️

Thank you so much to everyone who supported our Spring Philanthropy Week! All of the generous contributions we received were in support of our literacy initiative, Read>Lead>Achieve! We will be donating these contributions to the Pi Beta Phi Foundation, including the Friendship Fund and the Literacy Fund, along with other local literacy organizations! Thank you for supporting such a great cause, we hope to see you all in the fall for our next Philanthropy Week! So proud of @malia.oconnell for planning this week!

This past weekend, our chapter participated in the Tucson Festival of Books as a sponsor! The AZ Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi has been a proud sponsor of TFOB since the inaugural year in 2009! This year, we handed out over 10,000 free books to children and adults of all ages. We were fortunate enough to receive books donated from Kids Need to Read as well as books we have collected from book drives during our last 2 Philanthropy Weeks to hand out during the festival. We got to work with so many of our beloved alumnae who helped make this event as memorable and amazing as it could be! We are so grateful to continue to be active participants in the Tucson Community while continuing efforts of increasing literacy rates!
