grateful is an understatement ❤️

from the beginning of the season it was always “play for the girl standing next to you”. through the whole season that’s how it was, because there is always something bigger than yourself. ending your season in a big game you work towards for months or for some that only ever get to play in once or maybe never, hurts more than anything in this world.

this season has taught me so much more than just softball. it taught me how to handle heartbreak, how to keep going when things dont go as planned, and how to find the good in something that hurts so bad. sometimes growing means learning to accept that you can give everything you have and still not get the ending you prayed for. but sometimes the hardest moments are the ones that shape you the most.

this season made me realize how much more I want, not only in softball, but as a person. i want to keep growing, keep learning, and keep pushing myself to become someone my younger self would be proud of. i want to prove to myself that i can take the hardest moments and turn them into something that makes me better. i have so much more i want to accomplish in this game. i want to come back a completely different player, stronger mentally and physically, more confident in myself, and ready for everything this game has waiting for me. i want to make the most of every opportunity i get because i know how quickly it can all be over. more than anything, i want to look back and know i gave this game everything i had, never settled for less than i was capable of, and made the people who supported me along the way proud. this season may not have ended how i wanted, but it has given me even more reasons to chase everything i’ve ever dreamed of.

to my seniors, i wish i couldve given you the ending you all deserved. knowing that i never get to wear that jersey again with yall is one of the hardest parts. some of you ive spent almost 10 years playing with, and getting to play the game i love unconditionally with yall for this long is beyond a blessing and something i will never take for granted. yalls impact an

It didn’t really hit me until I realized I’ll never put on an OFA uniform and take the field with my best friends again. Some of y’all I’ve played with for as long as I can remember, and knowing that was the last time I’ll ever get to play with some of you is what really gets me. Some have coached me since I first started. Getting to grow up with y’all there is something I’ll always be thankful for. I’m going to miss having all my favorite people on the field together. I’m so thankful God let me share these years with y’all. I love y’all more than you know.❤️

One last game, one last time putting on the jersey, one last time stepping onto the field that has felt like home for so long. It’s hard to put into words what this game has given me, the friendships, the memories, the lessons, the tears, and the moments I’ll carry with me forever. If I could go back to the beginning and do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat. I always knew this day would come, but I don’t think you can ever truly prepare for your last time doing something you love this much. Thank you, softball, for giving me some of the best years of my life, thank you for teaching me how to love something so much, thank you for teaching me to try my hardest in everything I do no matter the circumstances, thank you for giving me friendships that will last for the rest of my life. This isn’t just the end of a season; it’s the end of a chapter I wish I could keep living forever. #4 signing out.🫶🏻
