What an incredible week! 🤍🩰
I’m so grateful to have attended my first Duncan Cooper Summer Intensive after having the opportunity to attend his Winter Intensive earlier this year. Being able to continue learning from Mr. Cooper and such an amazing faculty has been an unforgettable experience.

I am incredibly honored and humbled to have received a Short-Term Scholarship to the San Francisco Ballet School. I’m so thankful for this opportunity and for the encouragement to keep growing as both a dancer and a person.

A huge thank you to Mr. Duncan Cooper and all of the incredible instructors for sharing your knowledge, passion, and belief in all of us. Every class, every correction, and every challenge helped me become a better dancer.

I’m also so thankful for all of the amazing dancers I met this week. It was inspiring to learn alongside so many talented, hardworking artists, and I’m cheering all of you on! (Especially @maliascott_ )

This experience has motivated me even more to keep working hard, stay humble, and continue chasing my dreams. I’m excited to see what God has in store for this next chapter. ✨🤍

Sylvie Win’s 6th year of @thedanceawards started. She is thrilled and honored to be here. TDA has felt like a home of sorts. The stages, the energy, the dancing, and the people mean so much to her. She is excited for her last year as a Mini.

Thank you to every studio who has helped her through her TDA journey from @yokosdance to @masterballetacademy to @clubdancebackup . Thank you to all her teachers, coaches, choreographers, costumers, and friends. These moments have meant so much as has her growth in her dancing.

To all those on this journey, remember to follow your own path, work hard, and know you have something so special others do notice it. If it helps, Sylvie Win started at age 5 at Club. They didn’t know her yet (as they shouldn’t have). She got in only one group and was in the way back. I sadly do not have a TDA photo of that where you can see her. (It was a production.) Still, she ended up getting to go for BD that year and got 2nd in her Finals solo. By 6, she was so lucky to make the Top 10 and improv alongside her sister @ellaryday_szyndlar . The point is the growth and that anything is possible. As her sister reminds her, “dream so big it scares you.”

We hope every dancer at #thedanceawards has big dreams and they can come true. Enjoy this week. Soak it all up. We moved a few mountains to be here because it is so special. Sylvie Win cannot wait to take it all in.

♥️💛 Sylvie Win cannot compete for Best Dancer. As she was fortunate to win at age 8, she cannot compete for Best Dancer until she ages up a division.
